While you don’t have to follow the main storyline, bypassing it means you’ll miss out on useful gear that can make your adventure more enjoyable. To open the treasure chest, you first need to locate the Guest Room Key, which is hidden in a room close to where the chest is locked.
You’ll find that the secret location where the key is concealed is indicated by an exclamation mark on your map. Unfortunately, due to debris, the door to this room cannot be entered via regular methods.
As a gamer, I’d say: “To bypass the obstruction, venture to the adjacent chamber hidden beyond it. Keep an eagle eye out for a sneaky little gap in the wall, usually concealed by barrels or junk. Once spotted, wiggle through this secret passage and voila! You’ll find yourself right inside the obstructed room, where you’ll come across the remains of a fallen comrade.

Using light spells like Hama or fire-based attacks can quickly eliminate them and will give you an upper hand in this tough encounter. After you defeat the enemies, interact with the Pale Monk, an NPC inside the Guest Room.
