It seems they’ve got the Midas touch when it comes to Mumbai’s commercial properties! From their latest acquisitions in the Signature Building to their previous purchase last year, these ladies are surely making a mark in the bustling city’s real estate scene.
Actress Sara Ali Khan and her mom, Amrita Singh, have purchased two more business buildings in the Andheri West district of Mumbai for approximately INR 22.26 crores collectively.
According to documents obtained by FloorTap.com, the pair (mother and daughter) have purchased two commercial spaces on the ninth floor from Veer Savarkar Projects Private Limited in a building known as Signature Building, which is located near Veera Desai Road in Andheri West, Mumbai.
Each property is worth approximately Rs 11.13 crores, with a stamp duty fee of Rs 66.8 million paid. The units boast a built-up area of around 2,099 square feet and a carpet area of 1,905 square feet, as detailed in the records. These documents were officially registered on October 10, 2024, and each unit comes equipped with three assigned parking spots.
Last July, the actress along with her mother bought a fourth-floor office space within the same building, which cost them approximately Rs 90 million. The stamp duty for this deal was about Rs 4.1 million.
The agreement encompassed three assigned parking spots, with Aishwarya Property and Estates Pvt Ltd being the property’s vendor.
Over the past few months, various Bollywood celebrities have made headlines, either by acquiring business properties in Mumbai or by renting them out to generate substantial returns on investment.
Notable figures from the Bollywood industry like Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Ajay Devgn have purchased property in the business sector of Mumbai.
On the career side, Khan recently appeared in Ae Watan Mere Watan. Currently, she’s gearing up for the premiere of Metro in Dino, a movie where she co-stars with Aditya Roy Kapur. Anurag Basu is the director of this film, which is the follow-up to Life In A Metro, a 2007 production.
The upcoming film boasts an impressive ensemble of popular actors such as Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Konkona Sensharma, Ali Fazal, and others who will be playing crucial parts.
As per its creators, this upcoming movie is being advertised as a collection of touching tales about modern-day couples. Originally scheduled for release in September, the premiere has been pushed back to November 29, 2024.
