As an avid gamer and fan of post-apocalyptic settings, I must say, the trailer for The Electric State on Netflix has me absolutely thrilled! With its striking visuals reminiscent of games like Fallout or Mad Max, this film promises a captivating journey through a world overrun by robots.
As a gamer, I’ve just caught wind that the first trailer for Netflix’s “The Electric State” has dropped! Immersing myself in an alternate ’90s universe, this series seems to depict a post-apocalyptic world, brought about by a botched robot uprising. This captivating tale is derived from Simon Stålenhag’s 2018 graphic novel that shares the same name. I can’t wait to see how this narrative unfolds!
Millie Bobby Brown takes on the role of Michelle, a teenager who lost her family and embarks on a quest to find her brother. Accompanied by a friendly robot and a smuggler named Keats (played by Chris Pratt), along with his own robot, they journey through a world filled with robots, from tiny ones to giants as big as buildings. This world is called the Exclusion Zone, where all robots have been banished to live in isolation.
The movie is helmed by the Russo brothers (Joe and Anthony Russo), a team renowned for their direction of recent Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Captain America and Avengers films. They collaborate with screenwriting pair Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who are also acclaimed within the MCU.
Completing our principal actors are Ke Huy Quan, Jason Alexander, and Woody Norman. Additionally, Giancarlo Esposito and Stanley Tucci join the cast. Anthony Mackie, Woody Harrelson, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, Hank Azaria, Colman Domingo, and Alan Tudyk lend their voices to our robot characters.
Take a look at the official trailer for Netflix’s “The Electric State” located at the top of this page. The movie will make its debut on Netflix on March 14th.
