Lewis Tan Joins ‘Cobra Kai’ Season 6, Part 2, as Sensei Wolf

As a lifelong fan of the Karate Kid saga, I’m beyond thrilled about the imminent return of Cobra Kai for its sixth season! Having grown up with Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, I can hardly wait to see them battle it out in the global Sekai Taikai tournament. The prospect of new challenges, old enemies, and a completely different environment is just too tantalizing to resist.

As we eagerly await the second half of Cobra Kai season six’s release on Netflix, slated for November 15, prepare yourselves for an escalation in the skill level of black belts and karate experts competing at the Sekai Taikai, a global tournament.

At the Sekai Taikai tournament held in Barcelona, Miyagi-Do will encounter fresh hurdles and familiar adversaries as they strive for the title of world champions, all while navigating the typical conflicts between high schools and karate academies.

As I step into this new setting, it’s immediately clear that we’re far from the Valley now. The competitive landscape has undergone a significant transformation, unlike any previous All Valley tournaments. Here, there’s no boisterous crowd cheering us on. Instead, this is a sacred karate sanctuary where only black belts or esteemed karate masters are present. Hayden Schlossberg, one of the creators of our beloved show, shared this insight with Tudum.

In the second installment of a three-part finale for Cobra Kai, new characters are introduced: Lewis Tan, known from roles such as Deadpool’s adversary and Wolverine, as well as Mortal Kombat, takes on the role of Sensei Wolf. Additionally, Patrick Luwis appears as Awel Kovacevic, and Rayna Vallandingham makes her acting debut as Zara Malik.

In the television continuation of the 1984 blockbuster film “The Karate Kid,” actor Ralph Macchio reprises his role as Daniel LaRusso, while William Zabka portrays Johnny Lawrence. Martin Kove takes on the character of John Kreese, and Xolo Maridueña plays Miguel Diaz. The final five episodes of the last season for “Cobra Kai” have been scheduled for 2025, though a specific premiere date has yet to be revealed.

The show is created by Counterbalance Entertainment. For Westbrook Studios, Will Smith, James Lassiter, and Caleeb Pinkett will act as executive producers, alongside Susan Ekins who is associated with Sony Pictures Television. Additionally, Ralph Macchio and William Zabka take on the role of executive producers too.
