Notably, she had collaborated with the directors of this series on The Family Man 2 previously. During their work together, they began brainstorming ideas for an Indian adaptation of Citadel, though at that time, Samantha was unaware of these plans. Contrastingly, Varun Dhawan had already been briefed about the essential aspects of their upcoming project.
The renowned South Indian actor reminisced about the past, stating, “I saw a photo of them with the Russo Brothers, which suggested collaboration. However, I was unaware of the specifics of the project or its universe at that point.
In a direct manner characteristic of him, Dhawan expressed interest in working with Raj and DK, ultimately joining their project ahead of the female lead, as they were already producing the show.
