As a die-hard fan who’s been following Daredevil since his debut on Netflix, I can hardly contain my excitement! March 4, 2025 feels like an eternity away, but I’ll weather the wait with grit and determination, just like our favorite blind vigilante. The return of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, along with the original cast members, is a dream come true. And the addition of new talents like Michael Gandolfini and Margarita Levieva promises an even more compelling storyline.
Disney and Marvel have officially set the release date for the eagerly awaited “Daredevil: Reborn” series.
The highly-anticipated show “Born Again” is set to debut on Disney+ on March 4, 2025, and was officially announced during the “Marvel Fanfare with CB Cebulski” panel at New York Comic Con last weekend. In this series, Charlie Cox reprises his role as Matt Murdock, a lawyer with superhuman abilities who is blind, as he battles for justice through his busy law firm while former mob boss Wilson Fisk pursues political ambitions in New York. As their secret pasts resurface, both characters are propelled towards an unavoidable confrontation.
In addition to their appearances in the earlier Daredevil Netflix series, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, and Wilson Bethel as Poindexter will reprise their roles. Newcomers to the cast include Michael Gandolfini, son of James Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, Jeremy Earl, and Ayelet Zurer.
Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios’ Head of TV and Streaming, described the series as “extraordinary,” noting that it shares some similarities with X-Men ’97 as it revives a beloved franchise while taking it on a fresh path. The characters have grown and the universe has evolved since their last encounter. Society too has changed, and so the dynamic between Matt and Wilson will play out in unprecedented ways. Instead of just attempting to kill each other, they’ll navigate a complex web of politics.
Daredevil: Born Again premieres March 4, 2025 on Disney+.
