As a hardcore Ted Lasso enthusiast with over 150 hours clocked into this beautiful masterpiece, I can confidently say that the prospect of a fourth season is like a freshly baked scone on a crisp morning – utterly delightful and tantalizing. The recent revelations from Channing Dungey, the Warner Bros. TV Group chairman and CEO, have sent ripples of excitement through the Ted Lasso community, much like how a well-executed corner kick sends a soccer ball flying into the net (a metaphor for perfection, if you will).
For over a year now, “Ted Lasso” continues to be one of the most enjoyable shows that people love to watch again and again. It’s been rumored that a fourth season is in the works for one of Apple TV+’s top shows. So far, these rumors have mainly been based on speculation. However, a recent update from an executive sheds some light on the actual status of more episodes for the Emmy-winning comedy-drama.
Previously, it was announced that Warner Bros. Television had the potential to hire Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift for future episodes. In an interview with Variety, Warner Bros. TV Group chairman and CEO Channing Dungey hinted at positive discussions for a new season.
Discussions regarding season four are quite thrilling, however, we’re still at the beginning stages.
At present, plans appear flexible, but there’s a strong indication that Season 4 could become a reality. In anticipation of Channing Dungey’s statements, Hannah Waddingham, an Emmy winner, expressed her interest in reprising her role, without explicitly confirming it. On the bright side, Jason Sudeikis, our main actor, has shown his willingness to be part of the series, as confirmed by Channing Dungey.
It was consistently made known that another season of ‘Ted Lasso’ wouldn’t happen unless Jason [Sudeikis] and the team were enthusiastic about it, and I can personally confirm that he is currently in a state of high excitement and positive feelings towards it.
