As a seasoned gamer and K-pop enthusiast with a soft spot for heartwarming stories, I am beyond thrilled about the upcoming documentary, Enhypen: Fanmade. Having been through countless fan journeys and witnessed the incredible bond between artists and their fans, I can’t help but feel a deep connection to this unique tale.
Fans of the K-pop group Enhypen, affectionately known as Loyal Egenes, have learned their plans for November.
As an enthusiastic fan, I’m thrilled to share that the highly anticipated documentary titled “Enhypen: Fanmade” is set to premiere in select AMC Theaters on November 8. And guess what? The Hollywood Reporter has unveiled the first trailer!
The movie narrates simultaneous adventures of both the group and Egenes. It is set to depict Enhypen during their U.S. arena tour and culminating at the Samsung Galaxy Fanmade concert where five passionate female fans collaborate to deliver an extraordinary event for the band and enthusiasts, as stated in a statement.
In the trailer, a fan remarks, ‘It’s almost all about community.’ I believe that deep down, every human yearns for connection and camaraderie.
The project originates from Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, now under Candle Media, and Good-People, a fresh production company led by William Swann and Casey Feldman, known for producing ‘Trainwreck: Woodstock ’99’. Caroline Suh, who directed the K-pop documentary ‘Blackpink: Light Up the Sky’, is at the helm of this project.
The documentary features exclusive backstage clips, conversations with team members, and live acts by a seven-member boy band consisting of Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki.
In addition to their own tunes, Fanmade: Enhypen features an original track titled “HOME”. This number was unexpectedly presented by Engenes during the Samsung Galaxy Fanmade concert in May, interrupting the performance to serenade the band with it. Impressed, Enhypen subsequently recorded this song, produced by Rob Grimaldi and co-written with Ryan Curtis, as a token of gratitude to their fans.
Originating from Belift Lab, a subsidiary of the multimedia company Hybe, the band Enhypen was created through the reality show I-Land. This show, a collaboration between Hybe and the major Korean entertainment corporation CJ ENM, was broadcast on Mnet, a channel owned by CJ ENM in South Korea.
The collective unveiled their second complete studio album titled “Romance : Untold” in July, reaching the highest position on the Billboard 200 chart at its debut, placing number 2. Jay, a Seattle-born member, spoke to THR about this phase of Enhypen’s career: “With this album, we’re embarking on a fresh chapter for Enhypen. I believe it will serve as a significant milestone and pave the way for new possibilities for us.
