Life Is Strange: Double Exposure – How To Unlock Lucas’ Briefcase

As a dedicated fan who’s spent countless hours diving deep into the intriguing world of Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, I must admit that Lucas has become quite the enigma. At first glance, he may seem like an ordinary guy, but his briefcase contents suggest otherwise.

As I delve deeper into Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, it seems Lucas is becoming increasingly significant. At first glance, he might appear innocent, but the contents of his briefcase tell a different story.

His briefcase includes delicate personal items linked to his issues with Safi. This article shows how to unlock Lucas’ briefcase and uncover its secrets.

How To Unlock Lucas’ Briefcase in Life Is Strange: Double Exposure

Lucas has a competitive relationship with Safi, as both are writers at Caldero University.

Following the acclaim he received for his first book, Lucas struggled to match that level of success, which eventually bred frustration as Safi’s popularity flourished.

In the intriguing world of Living, I couldn’t help but entertain the idea that perhaps Lucas was the one behind the damage to Safi’s vehicle. This suspicion grew stronger when I examined the eerie cow skull, a piece of evidence that seemed too incriminating to ignore.

Over time, Max becomes even more convinced that Lucas might be connected to Safi’s death.

At the beginning of the game, you notice something unusual about him as he secures his briefcase in the virtual world following a chat with Max.

To discover what Lucas is concealing, you need to misdirect him by moving back and forth between the Realm of Life and the Realm of Death.

During an interaction in the Living World, you’ll observe his unusual caution towards a briefcase. After taking a call on his phone, he secures it and departs with the key, implying a certain level of importance or sensitivity associated with the briefcase.

To reach the Dead World, you’ll find a portal either next to Max’s photo display or by the statue of a boy. In the Dead World, you’ll have another chance to interact with Lucas. Here, the diversion tactic will come into play.

In this scenario, instead of defacing the life-sized standee of Lucas that feeds his ego, you might choose to subtly alter it to distract him. Take a permanent marker from the café counter and make some humorous changes to the standee, perhaps by drawing a temporary black eye or devil horns on it.

Feel free to take a picture of the damaged poster and share it on the Crosstalk app for some added excitement. After the damage has been caused, go back to Lucas and let him know what happened. (Paraphrased)

Just as anticipated, he’s heading off to assess the situation, leaving his briefcase key conspicuously on the table. This moment presents an excellent opportunity for me to grab that key.

Later on, return to the Realm of Life through one of the gateways, then retrace Lucas’ initial steps by finding where he had left his case in the briefcase.

You’re now able to open it up and explore what’s inside using the key. Within, you’ll discover a restraining order that has been lodged against Safi.

Once you discover the items inside Lucas’ briefcase, do you choose to share this information with Safi or keep it secret, supporting Lucas? Please leave your thoughts in the comments section.
