Unfortunately, we had to abandon our plans to be in Milwaukee for the Republican Convention’s July events, following an unfortunate attempt on nominee Donald Trump’s life.
Elise Terrell, the supervising producer, shared with The Hollywood Reporter before the DNC that the change in the Democratic campaign, with Vice President Kamala Harris taking over from Joe Biden as the party’s top candidate, has brought a fresh energy to their show and its writers. “We were ready to go with our jokes,” she said. “We knew what we wanted to target, but of course, we always find new perspectives.
