As a lifestyle expert, I find Hrithik Roshan to be an inspiring figure who embodies resilience and self-acceptance. His unique characteristic of having six fingers on one hand, which was once a source of ridicule during his school days, has transformed into a symbol of his individuality and strength in the face of adversity.
Hrithik Roshan is affectionately known as the “God of Bollywood” for his Greek-like charm. His expressive eyes and outstanding acting and dancing abilities have captured the affections of countless fans. What sets him apart is that he has six fingers on one hand. Eagle-eyed viewers of the 2003 movie Koi Mil Gaya might have spotted that the alien character, Jadoo, also had a double thumb. During an interview with TopMob, Roshan shared the explanation for this trait.
In a previous conversation with us, Hrithik Roshan discussed the unique thumb feature of the alien character Jadoo from Koi Mil Gaya. He revealed that it was his suggestion to have this character share a similar thumb with him for an instant connection. He explained to his director father, Rakesh Roshan, “Dad, if he has two thumbs like mine, I can look at it and he can look at mine, and we’ll recognize each other by saying ‘Like me, like you.’
Although Hrithik Roshan discussed this in his interview with TopMob, he also addressed our journalist on X (previously Twitter) regarding his peculiar observation in the film. The actor from “The Fighter” admitted, “Yes, it was meant to make Rohit feel more comfortable. However, we needed to keep it understated because the thumb wasn’t as perfect as I desired. You have a keen eye, my friend. Stay safe.
Initially, his distinct trait was off-putting to classmates at school, but nowadays, his fans adore it. Recently, he was named the ‘Sexiest man’ in Asia by US Weekly Eastern Eye for the third time, and on Facebook, he graciously acknowledged this honor with a post: “I am fortunate not because I received the title of sexiest, but because I just realized that God gave me an imperfection to accompany me as a reminder to myself and others about how beautiful our flaws make us.
His post continued, “In school, my thumb was often a source of discomfort among others. Today, I share it with millions who I believe are similar to me – uniquely imperfect. Thank you, God, for this incredible life. Convert your weaknesses into strengths. Be confident. You are beautiful. Trust in me.” Meanwhile, on the professional side, Hrithik is currently engaged in filming War 2 alongside Kiara Advani.
