As a die-hard fan of Arjun Kapoor, I can’t help but be ecstatic about his upcoming role in Singham Again! Despite some not-so-stellar box office performances lately, it’s heartening to see the genius that is Rohit Shetty placing his faith in Arjun. Just like how Milap Zaveri got his break with Singham when he was going through a rough patch, I believe this role will be a game-changer for Arjun.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve always admired Arjun Kapoor’s acting prowess since he first graced our screens with the powerful role in Ishaqzaade back in 2012. Over the years, he’s been a significant part of numerous successful movies that have left their mark on Bollywood. Lately, however, some of his films haven’t fared as well at the box office. Yet, despite this, the dynamic filmmaker Rohit Shetty has chosen Arjun to play the antagonist in his upcoming action-packed sequel, Singham Again. When I asked why Shetty placed faith in Kapoor despite the recent setbacks, fellow filmmaker-writer Milap Zaveri explained that Shetty recognized not only the raw talent but also the undying passion within Arjun.
Milap Zaveri, who is responsible for writing the dialogues for Rohit Shetty’s upcoming movie “Singham Again,” praised Rohit Shetty by stating that he is a remarkable individual who demonstrates faith in people, regardless of their current career status. When asked about casting Arjun Kapoor as the antagonist in his upcoming multi-starrer film, the director of “Mastizaade” explained that Rohit Shetty recognized talent and passion in Arjun Kapoor for “Singham Again.” He believed that Arjun Kapoor simply needed the right chance, and that’s where Rohit Shetty’s genius lies. We will have to wait and see if Rohit was correct about his decision once the film is released.
Milap Zaveri remembered that Shetty offered him a role in Singham despite his career struggles following Satyameva Jayate 2. He acknowledged that Shetty, known for directing Golmaal, is no ordinary talent. As per Zaveri, Shetty is one of India’s leading directors and genuinely kind-hearted. On set, everyone respects him immensely, and he always supports his team members. Milap shared that Shetty welcomed Arjun into his professional family, trusting that he would contribute positively to the film. He believed in Arjun, a belief that will be evident in the movie.
If you haven’t heard yet, Singham Again is the follow-up to his 2014 film, Singham Returns, and it’s number five in the series starring Rohit Shetty. In this new installment, Arjun takes on a villainous role alongside Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Jackie Shroff, Dayanand Shetty, and Shweta Tiwari in significant parts. Produced by Rohit, Ajay, and Jyoti Deshpande, Singham Again is scheduled for release on the big screen this coming Diwali on November 1, 2024.
