As a devoted fan of Arshad Warsi, I must say his journey in the film industry is nothing short of inspiring. His candidness and humility shine through in every interview he gives, making us feel like we’re friends chatting over coffee rather than idol and admirer.
Fans found Arshad Warsi’s film Jolly LLB hilarious, engaging, and boasting outstanding performances by its cast. However, the second movie in the series introduced Akshay Kumar as the main character. Lately, Warsi shared that he wasn’t fond of the script for the follow-up, understanding that Kumar would draw a larger crowd to cinemas. Consequently, he was content with his decision to step away from it. He also hinted at an upcoming movie featuring him and Kumar together in Jolly LLB, promising laughter, excitement, and even a touch of action scenes between the two actors.
In an open chat with Mashable India, Arshad admitted that he had reservations about not being included in Jolly LLB 2. He explained that while he found the movie script unappealing, his willingness to join the project stemmed from his close friendship with the film’s director, Subhash Kapoor.
However, the producer from FOX Studios eventually expressed eagerness for the Housefull actor to star in their film. This individual was equally keen, leading to the belief that it would be a wiser choice. He even reached out to the director, expressing confidence that Akshay could attract more viewers to the theater.
He expressed that he wasn’t completely satisfied with the script, but since it was Subash (who is the director and a dear friend), he would have agreed to do it. He suggested Subash to cast Akshay instead, explaining that with him, there would only be 500 people in attendance, whereas with Akshay, there would be 5000 people, allowing Subash to achieve his dream more effectively.
In response to questions about their collaboration in Jolly LLB 3, the actor from Munna Bhai M.B.B.S shared some insights. He expressed his belief that the audience would find it enjoyable seeing them act together on-screen. Waris stated that he will continue his character from Jolly LLB, while Kumar will carry forward his character from the sequel, promising a hilarious movie experience.
The performer spoke highly of the dedication shown by the actor from “Khel Khel Mein” during filming, mentioning that they managed to capture a challenging fight scene in just one single take, despite initial plans for it to take longer.
Arshad explained, “What we accomplished was incredibly daring, and we executed an extended fight scene using just a single take. While parts of it will undoubtedly be edited out, it was a single take. The fight sequence is quite lengthy, likely taking someone a full day to complete. We managed to perform the entire scene in one go; naturally, I sustained injuries during the process.
In a burst of enthusiasm, the actor from Dhamaal confessed his delight for the movie, stating its plot, ideas, and jokes are contemporary and promisingly enjoyable. He shared that the film encompasses all aspects that the Jolly LLB series is known for delivering to its viewers.
The filming for this movie wrapped up in July 2024. However, according to TopMob, it is expected to hit theaters in April 2025.
