As someone who has followed the glamorous world of Bollywood for decades, I must say, the life of Salim Khan and his family, especially his son Salman, never fails to surprise me. Just when you think things are settling down, another twist comes along. The latest acquisition of a Mercedes Benz GLS worth Rs. 1.57 crore on Dhanteras is a stark contrast to the ongoing threats against Salman Khan by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Last week, Salim Khan acquired a brand-new, luxurious Mercedes car priced at approximately 15.7 million Indian rupees to celebrate the arrival of Dhanteras 2024 on October 29, which signifies the start of Diwali festivities. This extravagant purchase was made during a time when his son, Salman Khan, has been receiving threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
In a popular video posted on social platforms, Salim’s immaculate Mercedes Benz GLS can be observed bedecked with flowers and a bow. Later, the vehicle was seen circling Salman’s home in Bandra, Mumbai.

Recently, I’ve found myself in a surprising and concerning situation, as unverified reports suggest that there has been a threat against the renowned Bollywood actor, Salman Khan. An anonymous tip was sent to Mumbai traffic authorities, warning that his life could be endangered if he didn’t comply with a ransom demand of approximately 20 crore Indian rupees, according to police sources. This unsettling incident underscores the importance of personal safety and vigilance in our dynamic world.
Following the received warning, the Worli police in Mumbai filed a complaint against an unidentified individual and initiated a probe to discover where the message originated from.
Previously, authorities apprehended a 20-year-old individual residing in Noida for allegedly making menacing phone calls directed towards actor Salman Khan and MLA Zeeshan Siddique, the son of the late NCP leader Baba Siddique.
On Tuesday, Mohammed Tayyab, who is also recognized as Gurfan Khan, was captured in Noida’s Sector 39. As per reports from India Today, a menacing call was placed to Zeeshan Siddique’s public relations office in Bandra East last Friday. The caller demanded ransom and issued threats against both Siddique and Khan.
On October 12, 2024, political figure Baba Siddique was fatally wounded by three assailants as he exited his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Bandra East, Mumbai. Despite being rushed to the hospital immediately, he succumbed to his injuries.
After his demise, a post circulated widely on social media, asserting involvement in the incident and associating it with criminal figure Lawrence Bishnoi. This post also carried a threat against Bollywood star Salman Khan, leading to increased safety precautions being implemented for the actor.
Speaking with ABP recently, I, as a lifestyle aficionado, found myself echoing Salim Khan’s sentiments about his nephew Salman. He asserted unequivocally that Salman is not only innocent but also someone who would never intentionally cause harm to any creature, particularly animals.
The 1998 poaching incident in Rajasthan sparked significant controversy; although Salman was acquitted, the Bishnoi community continues to seek an apology from the actor.
