As a longtime Marvel enthusiast and someone who has witnessed the evolution of their storytelling over the years, I must say that this upcoming lineup for 2025 is nothing short of exhilarating! The teaser alone sent chills down my spine with its tantalizing glimpses into these new worlds.
Following a more tranquil 2024, Marvel plans to significantly increase its television content on Disney+ within the upcoming year, and it’s excited to unveil its future projects.
The studio has unveiled a sneak peek for its upcoming lineup on Disney+, featuring the launches of six new series in 2025. This includes the streaming debuts of Deadpool & Wolverine on Nov. 12 and the third season of What If … ? on Dec. 22. The lineup for next year includes (in order) the animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, which will premiere on Jan. 29; Daredevil: Born Again on March 4; followed by Ironheart in June, then the animated series Eyes of Wakanda and Marvel Zombies, respectively, in August and October 2025. Lastly, Wonder Man is scheduled for a December release in 2025.
Watch the teaser below.
In 2025, six new shows will debut, which equals the number of Marvel series on Disney+ that started new seasons in both 2023 and 2024. The reduction in releases over the last two years was partly due to writers and actors striking for improved contracts, but it was also a result of a creative revamp at Marvel, allowing showrunners more independence in their projects. This adjustment included major changes for shows like Daredevil: Born Again.
On the same day as the season finale for Agatha All Along, a spinoff from WandaVision featuring Kathryn Hahn, both Marvel and Disney+ unveiled a teaser trailer. The last episode of Agatha All Along is scheduled to air about two months prior to What If…?, but if Disney+ follows its typical weekly release pattern for live-action series, this will probably be the longest break between new Marvel shows in the upcoming year.
Moving further along, Disney+ and Marvel are developing a show titled “Vision,” featuring Paul Bettany, while Amazon’s Prime Video is planning a series called “Spider-Noir” with Nicolas Cage in the lead role.
