As a connoisseur of streetwear with a penchant for Japanese aesthetics, this NEEDLES x Sasquatchfabrix collaboration has me absolutely thrilled! The “Eastend Dragon” collection is a beautiful homage to their shared roots and the concept of mutual love is beautifully embodied in the intricate dragon motifs.
For their Fall/Winter 2024 collection, NEEDLES and Sasquatchfabrix have come together once more, paying tribute to the shared Japanese roots of both brands. Dubbed the “Eastend Dragon” collection, it highlights an emblematic dragon design intricately woven together, symbolizing “kanai” or mutual affection.
Sasquatchfabrix’s expertise with distinctive materials shines through vibrant velour fabrics adorned with classic Japanese motifs. These fabrics grace NEEDLES’ iconic tracksuit sets, available in navy blue and deep burgundy red, and accentuated with contrasting zippers and logos in a striking purple. To complete the look, matching bucket hats made from the same material are complemented by additional solid-colored hats embellished with co-branding embroidery.
To provide a more artistic touch, designs featuring black dragons blend with polka dot patterns on various functional shirts, all equipped with evenly positioned cargo pockets on the front. To complete the lineup, distressed crewneck sweatshirts showcase delicate dye patterns that whisper to the ear, available in heather grey, green, and faded black. The pullovers highlight hand-drawn calligraphy and illustrations of intertwined dragons forming a heart shape.
Inside an authentic Japanese setting, the models strike poses reminiscent of martial arts within the visual content of this collection. The advertising initiative comes with thrilling video clips that display the models’ exceptional techniques and forms.
