During a chat with Entertainment Live, Shalini Passi discussed her ideal acting part. As things stand, she hasn’t set any definite acting goals. She elaborated that acting is something that demands thorough education and considerable dedication from individuals.
Passi mentioned, “Has she any plans to take on more projects? Well, one opportunity has presented itself, and some others have followed suit. However, there’s always more coming in. The catch is, if I ever found a role that perfectly matched my dream – something related to the Partition era, perhaps a black-and-white film – I would put in the effort and prepare myself for it.
When asked about taking on conventional romance characters, Passi made it clear that wasn’t her cup of tea. Instead, she expressed a strong pull towards portraying characters from the World War I and II periods, particularly those set in the 1940s and 1950s – an era that holds a unique charm for her.
In my line of work, I’ve always nurtured a fascination with the freedom movement in India – a dream that took root in me as a child. Recently, I found myself yearning to contribute or perhaps embody an artist from that era in a future film project. I believe that every aspect of this endeavor will unfold naturally and perfectly when the time is right.
Shalini became part of the most recent installment of “Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives” on Netflix, which features the cast from Delhi, including Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, sister of Ranbir Kapoor, and Kalyani Chawla. She brings a new point of view to the program.
At 49 years old, Passi is a well-known figure on social media, admired not only for her striking fashion sense but also for her vibrant and flamboyant character.
