James' U.S. Return In 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Highlighted The Biggest Issue That I Genuinely Think Could Doom His Marriage With Meitalia

As a long-time fan of 90 Day Fiancé, I’ve seen my fair share of rocky relationships, but James and Meitalia Solis from The Other Way Season 6 are giving even the most seasoned viewers a run for their money. Their communication issues, lack of compromise, and dramatic gestures have left me feeling more frustrated than ever before.

Hey gamers, here’s a heads-up: If you’re a fan of ‘90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way‘, beware! The upcoming episode titled “He’s Just Not That Into U.S.” might reveal some spoilers that could ruin your viewing experience. Catch it on the Max platform, but remember, stream at your own risk!

For quite some time now, I haven’t been this bothered by a storyline from “90 Day Fiancé” as I am with James and Meitalia Solis from Season 6 of “The Other Way”. Their episodes have been filled with tears but lacking in viable options about whether they should stay in Indonesia or go back to the U.S. The latest episode brought their dilemma to a boil once more, and I truly believe this ongoing uncertainty could jeopardize their marriage.

As a gamer, I usually have faith that a couple’s tale will lead to character development by the finale. However, yet again, James’ poor communication style seems to be causing trouble, potentially setting the stage for the demise of their relationship.

James Bought A Ticket Back To The United States, Thinking He Could Pressure Meitalia Into Leaving

After Meitalia expressed her intention to go back to the U.S., only if her sister Angel could accompany her on a sponsored visa, James swiftly purchased a ticket home. He admitted that he believed Meitalia might feel compelled to return to the U.S. until they found a more lasting solution for their life in Indonesia.

What wasn’t anticipated was Meitalia turning down the offer of a return ticket, as it was thought this would persuade her husband to extend their stay in Indonesia. However, Meitalia clarified that she would have accepted if he had agreed to bring Angel to the U.S., but with him firmly against that idea, she worried that going back to the U.S. might mean she wouldn’t be able to return to Indonesia again.

As I look back on that situation, it’s clear neither of us came out victorious, and truthfully, my departure from Indonesia left things pretty rocky with Meitalia. If we could have communicated better instead of resorting to such dramatic measures as buying a ticket and setting an ultimatum, maybe we could have found a resolution that worked for both of us. Unfortunately, given his history of sidestepping tough conversations about kids or quitting his job at the last moment, it seems like this is just how James tends to navigate difficult situations.

James Didn’t Tell Her Parents He Was Leaving Until The Absolute Last Minute

Readers didn’t require previous instances of James’ subpar communication and conflict resolution skills as they were evident when needed. After going through all the information presented, it transpires that neither James nor Meitalia informed her parents about his departure to the United States. Instead, they planned to mislead them by pretending it was just a family train ride, eventually dropping him off in Jakarta. This train ride was something James’ father-in-law had expressed interest in for some time, which he believed would soften the blow of the news.

James' U.S. Return In 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Highlighted The Biggest Issue That I Genuinely Think Could Doom His Marriage With Meitalia

Among all the storylines on this season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days, I find Veah and Sunny’s the least appealing to me.

Perhaps James didn’t anticipate that his father would notice something amiss when he packed all his belongings and left for a train ride. Consequently, he chose to reveal the unexpected news, which filled the journey with discussions about it. What I found 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way failed to portray was how James transformed his father-in-law’s enjoyable outing into an upsetting day that concluded with his daughter shedding tears.

From my observations on their social media this season, it appeared that James and Meitalia were still a couple. However, if they announce their split at the upcoming “90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way” tell-all, I wouldn’t be shocked. Their lack of effective communication, coupled with dramatic actions, has been concerning, and I’m worried that the distance between them will only widen. Fingers crossed that we get more clarification about their relationship in the tell-all.

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way is broadcast on TLC every Monday at 8:00 p.m. ET. I can hardly wait for discussion host Shaun Robinson to delve into this season, so let’s keep our fingers crossed that she’s prepared to pose some challenging questions to James and Meitalia.
