Denzel Washington Is Expected To Be In ‘Black Panther 3’

As a dedicated fan of Denzel Washington‘s illustrious career, I am thrilled beyond words to hear about his involvement in Black Panther 3! With such an impressive body of work spanning over four decades, it seems only fitting that he should grace the Marvel Cinematic Universe before retiring.

On the popular Australian talk show, “Today Show,” Denzel Washington announced his involvement in the upcoming Marvel movie, “Black Panther 3.” The highly-anticipated film will be helmed by director and writer Ryan Coogler, who has penned a role for Washington as part of the movie before his planned retirement.

In August, it was announced that there aren’t many films left for him in his career. Regarding working on Black Panther 3 with Ryan Coogler, Washington expressed interest only in collaborating with top-tier filmmakers at this stage of his career. He mentioned that he might not have many more opportunities to work on movies and prefers to take on roles he hasn’t tackled before. As for his current projects, Washington plans to play Othello on Broadway at the age of 70, followed by a role as Hannibal, a collaboration with Steve McQueen on a film, and then a part in the next Black Panther that Ryan Coogler is writing for him. After these roles, he intends to star in Othello again and King Lear before ultimately retiring from acting.

Currently, Marvel hasn’t disclosed plans for a sequel yet, but fans are eagerly anticipating the third movie in the series. If Denzel Washington were to be part of the film, it would be a significant full-circle moment for the actor, as Chadwick Boseman previously shared that Washington helped fund his acting school one summer. In this context, “There is no Black Panther without Denzel Washington” holds special meaning. During the AFI Life Achievement Award ceremony in 2019, Boseman acknowledged Washington by saying, “Your legacy stands as the foundation upon which mine and many others are built. The battles you’ve fought, the ground you’ve gained, the sacrifices you’ve made for our culture on film sets throughout your career, and the things you refused to compromise along the way laid the blueprints we follow.
