As a fan of Claudia Jessie and Bridgerton, I must say that her life experiences are nothing short of extraordinary! From playing Eloise Bridgerton to navigating the quirks of fame, she certainly has had a rollercoaster ride. And let’s not forget the memorable WhatsApp moment on the train – talk about an unexpected encounter with a fan!
Among the standout shows Netflix is releasing in 2024, you’ll surely find “Bridgerton” Season 3 gracing your screens. This streaming giant has built quite a collection of both talent and fans, and they show no signs of slowing down. As a result, their stars have been showered with plenty of affection from fans in various heartwarming and unexpected ways. Claudia Jessie, the actress who plays Eloise in “Bridgerton,” shared an unusual yet memorable encounter she had through WhatsApp that left her feeling quite peculiar.
Jessie appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and recounted the bizarre moment, still looking confused about the story when sharing. She explained that it happened on a regular train trip she takes from her hometown of Birmingham to London, noting that it was not like her normal commute:
A young woman stood before me, her presence visible due to the spaces in the seat, deeply engrossed in her phone. She appeared to be searching for information about me online. Subsequently, she seemed to capture my likeness by screenshotting and then shared it within a WhatsApp group.
Discuss an unusual and utterly peculiar event: It’s mind-boggling to encounter a stranger who not only looks you up but also takes a screenshot of you and subsequently shares it in a WhatsApp group, which seems quite surreal.
Jessie didn’t stop there though, she added that she could see the person’s friends responding too:
I noticed reactions such as “Oh my gosh,” from the crowd, and I observed activities unfolding within the group. Then, I found myself thinking, “This is quite unusual.
At that moment, it’s hard for me to fathom the emotions of the 35-year-old, but I think ‘stunned’ could be a fitting description. Interestingly enough, she not only encountered them but also interacted with them.
Then she faced me and asked, “Are you Claudia Jessie?” To which I replied, “Yes.” She responded with an “Okay.
It seems quite unusual and unexpected for anyone to encounter such an incident with a fan, especially considering the fact that it was documented on the passenger’s WhatsApp chat. I must say, I’m intrigued by the conversation details!
In summary, the actress took it all in stride regarding the enthusiastic response from the fan, yet she confided in Colbert that she had hoped for a more meaningful reaction from him.

It’s the Eloise actress who manages to keep things authentic, even in the most bizarre situations. Frankly, I can’t imagine how I would react given her understated response, the screenshot, and the entire WhatsApp conversation she wasn’t part of. Yet, she handled it perfectly, turning the situation into an engaging story as well.
Moving on to the show that catapulted this actress to fame, we don’t have many details about Bridgerton‘s Season 4 yet, except that it will primarily focus on Benedict Bridgerton and there may be a shift in seasons, ideal for fans of autumn. It’s reasonable to expect that Claudie Jessie will return as Eloise to assist her brother throughout this adventure.
In Jesse’s actual world, let’s cross our fingers that her future encounters with fans are less peculiar and provide clearer indications of their appreciation for her work. Here’s to avoiding any more situations involving screenshots and WhatsApp.
If you’re interested in watching Jessie in the series called Bridgerton, you can access all three seasons by subscribing to Netflix.
