Disney’s ‘Snow White’ Rachel Zegler Apologizes for Trump Re-Election Reaction

As a longtime fan of Hollywood and its dynamic characters, I have to say that Rachel Zegler‘s recent apology for her heated reaction to the re-election of Donald Trump is both commendable and understandable. Life experiences shape our perspectives, and it seems the whirlwind of fame has brought the young actress into the heart of America’s political divide.

As a gamer, I hopped onto Instagram yesterday to offer an apology for my overheated response last week following the news about Donald Trump’s re-election.

Disney‘s upcoming Snow White star received blowback following her original post, where she declared, “May Trump supporters and Trump voters and Trump himself never know peace,” and “there is a deep deep sickness in this country,” and, “another four years of hatred, leaning us towards a world I do not want to live in.”

Hey there fellow gamers,

Disney’s ‘Snow White’ Rachel Zegler Apologizes for Trump Re-Election Reaction

Zegler’s initial remark sparked a significant reaction on platform X, as MAGA advocates criticized the West Side Story actor and pledged to avoid watching her upcoming $200 million Snow White theater release from Disney, scheduled for March 25.

Megyn Kelly, demonstrating the importance of civil conversation, labeled Zegler disrespectfully as “unprofessional” due to her remarks, and criticized Disney: “You’ll need to remake your film once more because this woman’s behavior is unacceptable, and you let go of Gina Carano for actions that were much less provocative than this.

Previously, Zegler faced disagreement from conservative circles following her controversial remarks concerning the initial production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which sparked a significant online discussion last year.

In Zegler’s words regarding the new movie, she won’t be fantasizing about true love. Instead, she’s dreaming of becoming the strong leader she believes herself to be, a role her late father encouraged her to strive for if she was fearless, fair, brave, and sincere. She also mentioned that the film is not just politically correct but necessitated it, as people have been joking about it being so. She explained to Entertainment Weekly that the original story is quite outdated in terms of women holding positions of power and what society deems appropriate for a woman. Speaking to Extra TV, she added that unlike the 1937 animated version, this time around, we’ve steered clear of focusing on her romantic relationship with a man who essentially stalks her, which is quite unusual.

The movie adaptation of Snow White, initially planned for release this year, has been postponed due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, as well as to incorporate modifications such as reworking the Seven Dwarfs to align with their original concept. Gal Gadot portrays the Evil Queen, Ansu Kabia assumes the role of the Huntsman, and Martin Klebba plays Grumpy in this upcoming production of Snow White.
