As a devoted admirer of Betty White, I couldn’t be more thrilled to learn that she will be immortalized on a US Postal Service stamp in 2025! Her seven decades of entertaining us with her wit and warmth, not to mention her unwavering dedication to animal welfare, truly set her apart as an iconic figure in American television.
Three years after Betty White’s death, the iconic actress will be remembered in a special way.
On Friday, it was disclosed by the U.S. Postal Service that one of their future stamps, due in 2025, will display an iconic American figure affectionately known as the “American Sweetheart.
Betty White, a legendary figure on American television (1922-2021), entertained viewers with her humor and kindness for over seven decades. She left an indelible mark through roles in shows like The Golden Girls and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Even as she grew older, she continued to win the hearts of new generations. Beyond her acting prowess, Betty White was deeply respected for her compassionate advocacy work on behalf of animals.
She passed away on December 31, 2021, just shy of celebrating her 100th birthday. It wasn’t until January 11, 2022, that it was announced her death was due to a stroke she suffered six days prior at her residence in the Brentwood district of Los Angeles.
She is particularly recognized for her performances in shows such as “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” “The Golden Girls,” and “Hot in Cleveland.” A newer group of fans was won over by her roles in films like “The Proposal,” “You Again,” “Bringing Down the House” and “Lake Placid,” among others.
The United States Postal Service also revealed additional stamps scheduled for release in 2025. These include a design of a snake to mark the Lunar New Year’s Year of the Snake, a compass rose from 1794, honoring Allen Toussaint for Black Heritage, depicting the Appalachian Trail, colorful autumn leaves, dahlias, baby wildlife, winter scenes, and various other themes.
