I’m Already Anxious For Netflix’s Nobody Wants This Season 2, So Kristen Bell And Adam Brody’s Update Was Great Timing

As a die-hard fan of all things romantic and relatable, I couldn’t help but devour Nobody Wants This like a box of chocolates on Valentine’s Day. The charming Adam Brody, whom I’ve been following since his days in Newport Beach, was just the cherry on top that made me fall head over heels for this heartwarming series. And here I am, eagerly awaiting Season 2, much like a kid waiting for Christmas morning.

If you share my enthusiasm for television shows, chances are you might have binge-watched “Nobody Wants This” during a weekend or right after its release. Initially piqued by my longtime admiration for Adam Brody, I was captivated by the intricate portrayal of romantic and familial relationships in the series. Remarkably, it’s one of the most anticipated shows on the 2024 TV lineup, with fans like myself eagerly and enthusiastically waiting for Season 2. So, we’re all excited to hear the latest updates from Kristen Bell and Brody!

At a special event in Hollywood’s Tudum Theater, during a For Your Consideration function, the stars of Netflix’s romantic comedy were interviewed by Variety. They dished about their series “Nobody Wants This“, even providing some intriguing details on when we could expect Season 2. Brody confidently hinted that fans won’t have to wait too long for more of Noah and Joanne’s story, stating:

I’m hoping it won’t turn out too harsh. Fingers crossed, we’ll begin filming in February and, ideally, it will be released by September of the following year.

It’s great if the timeline posted by the former star of “The O.C.” is accurate, as it would be delightful to have a more frequent release pace between seasons. However, with the ongoing pandemic and Hollywood strikes, along with typical delays in streaming shows, it’s not surprising that we’ve seen unconventional schedules for both TV and movies. Despite this, I’m happy that the show is slated for a 2024 release on Netflix and can continue at a quicker pace. Fortunately, they may find it easier to release seasons because there are no CGI monsters or historically accurate costumes required in production.

Although we don’t know about any additional features on-screen for Season 2 of “Nobody Wants This” yet, Kristen Bell has shared some intriguing production updates. To begin with, the actress famous for Frozen revealed some significant behind-the-scenes alterations. She further clarified that the season’s plot has been meticulously planned out. Regarding what’s ahead, she commented:

We’ve introduced some fantastic new talents, Jenny Connor and Bruce Eric Kaplan, to our team, and we’re thrilled about it! Details are still being worked out, but our writers have been on board for almost a month now. The season outline is roughly in place, and I’m feeling optimistic about it.

It’s likely that the new showrunners will infuse their unique creativity into the program while preserving the fundamental charm that initially captivated viewers. Considering the unexpected surge in popularity during Season 1, it seems appropriate to enhance production and expedite the series to guarantee a prompt premiere.

What can we expect after the uncertain ending for Joanne and Noah? I can’t say for certain, but it might cause more worry for them again. However, I’m thankful for the well-timed message from Bell and Brody that offers a brief moment of relief.

If you’d like to watch Nobody Wants This, you can stream it with a Netflix subscription.
