As a die-hard fan of The Office who has grown up with its quirky humor and relatable characters, I can hardly contain my excitement over this new cast announcement for Peacock‘s upcoming comedy series set in the same world! With an impressive lineup that includes veteran actors like Duane Shepard Sr., Allan Havey, Nate Jackson, Nancy Lenehan, Molly Ephraim, and Tracy Letts, along with rising star Mo Welch, this show is shaping up to be a hilarious treat for fans everywhere.
Peacock‘s forthcoming Office-world comedy series is continuing to build out its cast.
7 actors – Duane Shepard Sr. (“The People vs. O.J. Simpson”), Allan Havey (“Billions”, “Mad Men”), Nate Jackson (“Young Rock”), comedian Mo Welch, Nancy Lenehan (“The Boys”, “Veep”), Molly Ephraim (“A League of Their Own”, “Last Man Standing”) and Tracy Letts (“Saturday Night Live”, “Divorce”) – will appear as guests in the series produced by Greg Daniels and Michael Koman. Notably, Mo Welch is also a writer for the series.
Currently, specifics about their roles are being withheld; however, they are set to be part of a cast headed by Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore, which also comprises Melvin Gregg, Chelsea Frei, Ramona Young, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Tim Key, and Eric Rahill.
This upcoming, as-yet-unnamed TV show shares the same universe as “The Office,” but instead of focusing on familiar characters, it introduces us to a fresh set. The series’ tagline is: “The documentary team that captured Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch in its glory days is now seeking a new subject. They stumble upon an old Midwestern newspaper struggling to stay afloat and the publisher attempting to breathe life back into it.
The duo behind the American adaptation of “The Office” (Daniels and Koman) are also the minds behind a fresh new series. This project hails from Universal Television, with executive production assistance from Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, creators of the original BBC “Office” series, as well as Howard Klein, Ben Silverman, and Banijay Americas.
