Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland Support Michelle Williams at ‘Death Becomes Her’ Opening Night on Broadway

As a long-time fan who’s witnessed the evolution of Destiny’s Child, I can’t help but feel a warm sense of nostalgia seeing Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams back together again. Their reunion at the Broadway premiere of ‘Death Becomes Her’ was a beautiful reminder of their sisterhood and unwavering support for one another.

On Thursday, Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams, the original members of Destiny’s Child, came together again during the premiere night of “Death Becomes Her,” a Broadway play inspired by the movie with the same title. Michelle Williams is one of the stars in this production.

Beyoncé honored Williams’ performance and their quiet comeback by sharing a collection of pictures featuring herself, Rowland, Tina Knowles, and Williams from the event, along with a series of photographs depicting the ladies standing in solidarity with Williams.

Despite not having captions, Beyoncé played the track “II Most Wanted,” featuring Miley Cyrus, where the lyrics go, “I’ll ride as your shotgun until the day I die.

I reposted the video on my Instagram, expressing, “There’s nothing quite like seeing Destiny’s Child reunited. At the Broadway premiere of ‘death Becomes Her’ in New York City the other night, Michelle absolutely shone in her role! She was divine, angelic even, and her goddess-like presence left us in awe. Friends till the end, we stand by each other and cherish our bond.

Death Becomes Her” is a film that originated from the 1992 dark comedy produced by Universal and directed by Robert Zemeckis. The movie featured the talented trio of Meryl Streep, Goldie Hawn, and Bruce Willis in its cast.

Williams is portraying the character of Viola Van Horn in a musical currently running at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in New York City. The production features Megan Hilty, Jennifer Simard, and Christopher Sieber as well.

I just can’t contain my excitement! I recently paid a visit to the mesmerizing world of “Death Becomes Her,” and to share my enthusiasm, I posted a snapshot on my Instagram story. The image captures my perfectly manicured fingers clutching the playbill, with the words “OMG!!!” scribbled across it. As shared by People, this little memento from my magical experience is now immortalized for all to see!

Last month, Beyoncé and Rowland teamed up at a rally in Houston, Texas, to back Kamala Harris’ potential 2024 presidential campaign. During the event, Beyoncé – who had earlier granted Harris’ campaign the rights to her song “Freedom” as its theme – expressed her views as a concerned mother about the world our children inhabit. She emphasized a world where we have the liberty to govern our bodies, a world that is not fragmented.

Despite being occupied with the previews of “Death Becomes Her”, Williams unfortunately couldn’t make it, but she expressed her joy to Sherri Shepherd on her namesake daytime talk show about her fellow Destiny’s Child members achieving success.

She mentioned, “This was the first occasion where I couldn’t physically attend something I truly wished to participate in.” It’s a compromise that comes with being on Broadway.

However, she mentioned that she had attended the rally and commended Beyoncé and Rowland for standing by her, each in their unique fashion.

The gathering takes place not long after marking the 20-year milestone since the group’s last studio album, titled “Destiny Fulfilled,” was released.
