FAU-G: Domination makes a major mark at Indian Games Developer Conference 2024

  • FAU-G: Domination‘s debut at IGDC 2024 earned it high praise
  • Players who went hands on for the first time singled out the Arms Race mode and performance
  • FAU-G: Domination is slated for a 2025 release

As an avid gamer with a soft spot for multiplayer FPS titles and a deep appreciation for Indian gaming culture, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement when it comes to FAU-G: Domination. Having grown up playing games on low-end devices due to the financial constraints that are all too common in our country, I can truly appreciate the developers’ focus on performance across various hardware specifications.

Apologies in advance for the frequent updates regarding the upcoming multiplayer FPS game, FAU-G: Domination, which is developed by Indians. Despite my apology, the developers themselves are quite open about sharing the positive impact this game is having. You might recall that we previously mentioned FAU-G would be playable for the first time at IGDC 2024, and it appears the response has remained positive once more.

Developers Nazara Publishing report that over one thousand people gave FAU-G a try, with numerous individuals commending its smooth performance on even budget devices. The Arms Race mode and shooting mechanics were particularly appreciated, with only a small percentage of players noting minor concerns about hitboxes or gameplay performance.

Among the highly anticipated upcoming local releases, FAU-G: Domination, alongside the battle royale shooter Indus, is garnering significant attention within India’s game development scene. Given the vast player base in this country that even surpasses giants like China, the title that successfully creates a domestic blockbuster could soar to unprecedented heights.

Dominating

It’s no wonder that developers aiming to penetrate the vast mobile market in India are eager to generate excitement for their creations. For instance, Indus, with its nod to ancient Indian history, and FAU-G, which portrays a future elite Indian military force much like foreign-made shooters, all have an underlying sense of national pride that is evident in their releases.

And while it may seem only a minor concern, given the huge diversity of devices used by people all across India, it’s no surprise that performance on even lower-end devices is a point of concern.
