The Haider Ackermann-Designed "Snow Goose by Canada Goose" Collection Has Arrived

As a seasoned gamer who’s spent countless hours braving digital blizzards and arctic wastelands, I can confidently say that Canada Goose’s new Snow Goose label, designed by Haider Ackermann, is a game-changer. The vast winter silhouettes are reminiscent of the versatile gear I need to conquer my virtual adventures.

Haider Ackermann’s long-awaited design for Canada Goose, named Snow Goose, has made its debut with an extensive first collection. The collection boasts over 60 winter-friendly styles in traditional colors complemented by vibrant, expressive shades. It draws inspiration from the rich history of Canada Goose and Ackermann’s forward-thinking fashion sensibilities.

In the FW24 collection, Ackermann found his main inspiration in the raw might and serene beauty of nature as a source of peaceful retreat. The central theme of this campaign revolves around the outstanding items from the outerwear range: the Rider Jacket and the Celestia Jacket. The Rider Jacket is modeled on the archival Peace Keeper Parka from the mid-90s, blending its roomy silhouette with reflective details, practical pockets, and an adjustable waist. The Celestia Jacket is Snow Goose’s modernized take on the traditional shirt jacket, coated in a silver reflective finish that glows when hit by direct light.

In this collection, modern tech-inspired elements are balanced with vibrant color schemes and a more daring side that incorporates a black-and-white diamond pattern reminiscent of a quilt. The Squall Jacket and Pants draw inspiration from an old shell suit, characterized by prominent zippers across each part, but the standout feature is the striking “Aquarius” blue color. The Ranger Jacket also boasts high saturation, with a deep green Arctic Tech fabric and a neon green detachable hood. Throughout the collection, the aforementioned diamond pattern catches the eye on various outerwear pieces and knitted sweaters, adding visual appeal, and wrapping up the collection with a warmer, cozier feel.

Willy Vanderperre photographed the newly launched campaign featuring actor-producer Ethan Hawke and model Julia Nobis alongside others who share a wide range of interests in art, sports, and design.
