Marvel Celebrates 'Hawkeye' Physical Release With a Deleted Scene

As a movie enthusiast who has been following the Marvel Cinematic Universe since its inception, I must say that the announcement of the 4K UHD release of “Hawkeye” is like Christmas coming early! The deleted scene alone is enough to get any fan excited, as it offers a glimpse into the lighter side of the series.

Approximately three years after its initial release on Disney+, Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye is coming back for another round during the Christmas season of 2024. Specifically, a 4K UHD set containing the series will be available to buy starting December 2, 2024. Yet, it isn’t just this release that entices buyers, but rather an engrossing deleted scene from the Hawkeye series itself.

2021 saw the release of “Hawkeye,” where I, as a former Avenger and archery prodigy Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner), found myself yearning for a peaceful family Christmas. Yet, an unexpected meeting with Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), a young archer captivated by my exploits, plunges us both into the heart of a puzzling murder case, escalating the urgency of our predicament.

As a movie enthusiast myself, I’ve just learned some exciting news directly from The Wrap. They were the first to break it! The upcoming 4K UHD release of the movie is chock-full of goodies. We’re talking behind-the-scenes footage, a documentary, outtakes, and an impressive collection of deleted scenes. In fact, one of those deleted scenes was recently shared on Marvel Studios’ official YouTube channel.

As a cinephile, in the heart-pounding sequence, I found myself huddled with Clint and Kate in an elderly woman’s humble abode, desperately hoping the chaos outside would subside. But the telltale jingle of keys turning in a lock had us on edge, prompting Clint to ready himself for whatever was to come. To our astonishment, the one who entered was none other than the apartment’s sweet old lady, cane in hand and a curious feline at her side. Unruffled by our presence, she courageously evicted us from the room, making it clear that she wasn’t intimidated by this unexpected duo, whom she considered nothing more than thieves.

Will There Be Hawkeye Season 2?

On the same day Hawkeye’s physical 4K UHD makes its debut, so will Loki Season 2, offering unique bonus content. This is why a sneak peek from Loki Season 2 was recently shared, featuring Loki (Tom Hiddleston) reminiscing about being blamed for all the troubles while enjoying a delightful key lime pie with his buddy Mobius (Owen Wilson).

On top of that, two more Disney+ series from the Star Wars universe will be available on Dec. 3 in a physical 4K UHD version. These are Ahsoka, another thoughtful sci-fi creation by Dave Filoni, and The Mandalorian Season 2, which skillfully explores the nuanced distinction between replicating and preserving the soul of Star Wars.

The unveiling ofHawkeye‘s physical media brought about not only exciting content for fans but also optimistic news regarding a potential second season. According toCosmic Circus, production of Hawkeye Season 2 began in September, though Marvel Studios – or anyone else – has yet to confirm that news officially.

Despite whispers indicating that Marvel may delay the release of any upcoming shows on Disney+, it’s possible that a second season might not air until at least a couple of years have passed. Consequently, it’s advisable to brace for potential delays, as the premiere date could be postponed all the way to 2027, meaning there could be a considerable break between seasons.

Excitedly, I find myself eagerly anticipating the prospect of Hailee Steinfeld joining the Young Avengers team, should it indeed become a reality. Her talent and potential for growth within the Marvel Cinematic Universe make this possibility all the more intriguing. Meanwhile, I can’t help but wonder about the future of Hawkeye, as I patiently wait for Marvel to reveal any updates on a potential second season return.
