As someone who has grown up admiring both Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, seeing them come together to serve meals to the homeless during Thanksgiving is nothing short of heartwarming. Their co-parenting relationship may have ended years ago, but their shared commitment towards community service is a testament to their enduring bond. It’s refreshing to see that even though they might not share screen time as their iconic superhero alter-egos, they continue to inspire us in real life.
This Thanksgiving, the ex-couple, who previously starred in a movie together, united to offer meals to homeless individuals in Los Angeles. Despite their divorce years ago, their dedication to local community causes demonstrates that their co-parenting relationship remains strong and they continue to make a difference when it matters most. Although Marvel fans might not anticipate seeing them act alongside each other as superheroes, they can admire their real-life heroism in a less flashy, yet equally significant way.
On Thursday, the pair attended The Midnight Mission alongside several other well-known individuals. Accompanied by their trio of kids, they put on hairnets and aprons to help serve numerous Thanksgiving meals to residents in Los Angeles’ Skid Row district. Sarah Paulson, a familiar face from American Horror Story, was also there, and images and videos capturing her with the couple have been posted on Instagram.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Could Have Reunited as On-Screen Superheroes
For more than 20 years now, Affleck has played Matt Murdock in the superhero realm. However, Garner has just revived her role as Elektra in this summer’s Deadpool & Wolverine. Earlier, it appeared that these actors might reunite with their Marvel characters, given the numerous whispers hinting at Affleck being offered a part in the movie.
Indeed, Affleck has gained significant recognition as one of the many actors to portray Batman, starring prominently in the DCEU’s films like “Batman v Superman” and “Justice League,” as well as having smaller roles in various other movies, most recently in 2023’s “The Flash.” At present, he is considered the most active Batman on the big screen. However, with the arrival of a new DC Universe, his tenure as Bruce Wayne also marks an era that will be remembered.
Despite Ben Affleck’s Deadpool and Wolverine comeback not materializing, the presence of Garner in the film, joined by another ex-Marvel character Wesley Snipes as Blade, Channing Tatum as Gambit, and Dafne Keen as Laura/X23, was one of the most exciting fan-pleasing moments in a movie tailored to delight fans. It remains uncertain if there will be more installments, but with Avengers: Secret Wars on the horizon, it’s possible that Garner’s Elektra story isn’t fully over yet.
Is there a possibility that Affleck will join the cast of Secret Wars in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? With the MCU, anything can happen. Speculations about potential stars for the conclusion of the Multiverse Saga are yet to escalate, but when they do, expect them to be more exciting than ever. We’ll keep you updated every step of the way, and hopefully, we’ll all still have a few surprises left when we reach the Russo Brothers’ masterpiece.
