Often referred to as the He-Man of Bollywood, this 88-year-young dynamo has been dazzling us with his charm for decades upon decades. His collaborations with Indian cinema’s finest, such as the incomparable Jaya Bachchan, have only added to the rich tapestry of his illustrious career.

Dharmendra recently posted a photo on Instagram featuring himself alongside Jaya Bachchan. The image was captured on the set of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. In this snapshot, Dharmendra is sitting down and Jaya Bachchan is visible standing behind him, with her hands gently resting on his shoulders. Both seasoned actors are grinning broadly while striking a pose for the camera.
Speaking about their 1971 movie, Guddi, Dharmendra looked back on their career and highlighted the role of Jaya Bachchan as the character Guddi, a school-age student. He further expressed admiration for her talent, calling her an “exceptional artist” in his caption.

Discussing Guddi, Jaya Bhaduri (now known as Bachchan) starred as the main character, who was a schoolgirl infatuated with celebrities. The film’s protagonist, Guddi, harbored a strong affection for the prominent actor Dharmendra. Remarkably, Dharmendra himself appeared in the movie in a special guest role.
Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan have worked together on films such as Sholay, Hide and Seek (Chupke Chupke), and Phagun.
Fast forward to 2023, they came together for Karan Johar’s film project titled “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.” Starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, this romantic-comedy family drama saw Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan in the roles of a married couple. Shabana Azmi was also part of the cast.
Later on, Dharmendra made an appearance in the movie “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,” which featured Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon this past year.
