searchlight Pictures and Imax are collaborating to arrange exclusive pre-releases of the anticipated film A Complete Unknown, a week prior to its nationwide premiere on Christmas Day. Directed by James Mangold, this film features Timothée Chalamet in the role of the renowned musical figure, Bob Dylan.

Starting from December 18th, exclusive early screenings for over 30 IMAX locations will begin. According to Searchlight Pictures, viewing this specialty film in an IMAX theater offers a unique experience as it highlights the movie’s revolutionary visual effects and enveloping sound. The large-format technology employed by IMAX allows viewers to fully immerse themselves in the film’s vast cinematic landscapes and depth.

Advance showings of A Complete Unknown: IMAX Preview are scheduled at Imax theaters within AMC, Regal, Cineplex, Cinemark cinemas in cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Cleveland, Boston, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Minneapolis, Nashville, Phoenix, San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, and Washington DC. In Canada, the early screenings will be held in Toronto and Montreal. Purchasers of tickets will enjoy a pre-recorded conversation with the cast.

Besides Timothée Chalamet, the film features Edward Norton portraying Pete Seeger, Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo, Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash, and Scoot McNairy as Woody Guthrie.
