Enthusiasts of high-octane films have long been anticipating Gerard Butler’s reprisal of Big Nick, following the initial release in cinemas. Despite a divided reaction from critics for the first film, Den of Thieves resonated strongly with viewers, grossing $80.5 million globally against a production cost of $30 million. The movie was often lauded as a revival of the classic action crime epics of yesteryears.
The upcoming sequel, titled “Den of Thieves 2: Pantera“, is set to hit US cinemas on January 10, 2025. This action-packed film looks to continue providing a fitting platform for Butler’s tough-edged character to shine once again.

Apart from Gerard Butler and O’Shea Jackson Jr., the original writer and director Christian Gudegast is back to direct more thrilling heist action in the sequel. In the follow-up to the 2018 action-heist movie Den of Thieves, actors Gerard Butler (from Plane and the Has Fallen series) and O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Out of Compton, Godzilla: King of the Monsters) reprise their roles. In this sequel titled DEN OF THIEVES: PANTERA, character Big Nick, played by Butler, pursues his quarry, Donnie, in Europe. Donnie finds himself entangled in the dangerous and volatile realm of diamond thieves and the notorious Panther mafia as they orchestrate a grand heist targeting the world’s largest diamond exchange.
