As a humble actor who has shared screen space with some of Bollywood’s biggest stars, I have had the privilege of working with the likes of Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra. My journey in this industry began around the same time as theirs, and it was a pleasure to finally work with SRK in Don, a film that came out in 2006.
In 2006, the movie “Don” starring Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra was released. This action-thriller also included Rajesh Khattar in a significant role. Lately, during an interview with us, this seasoned actor expressed admiration for his co-stars, acknowledging their remarkable career paths.
In an exclusive interview with TopMob, seasoned actor Rajesh Khattar reminisced about Shah Rukh Khan, saying, “Shah Rukh and I are alums of the same college. Coincidentally, we both arrived in Mumbai around the same time. Interestingly, I had been eager to collaborate with him, which almost happened a decade or so after our arrival in Mumbai because we debuted there in the early 90s. Don was released in 2006, and that was our first project together, followed by Don 2.
Khattar also expressed that he eagerly anticipates collaborating with King Khan and finds it an enriching experience each time they meet. He added, “With every encounter, I’ve noticed him evolving into a bigger star over the years, yet his demeanor remains unchanged.
He maintained that his character – humble, gracious, and kind – remains unchanged over the years, and this is a remarkable trait about him. Whenever he is present, you’ll never feel inferior or less valued, making his company truly special.
Beyond this, he not only praised Priyanka Chopra but also referred to her as a living embodiment of tireless effort. He admired her unstoppable journey and believed she rightfully earns all the acclaim she’s receiving. The actor from Race 3 emphasized that her impressive career trajectory, spanning beauty pageants, music, acting, and making a name for herself in Hollywood, is truly commendable.
As a devoted admirer, I must add that she’s not only radiantly warm but overflowing with enthusiasm. To this day, she still addresses me as ‘Mr. Singhania,’ asking, “How are you, Mr. Singhania?” in her charmingly endearing way.
Khatter added that he and his wife have a close relationship with Chopra’s mother, and they recently met her last week. He pointed out that the actress has a busy schedule, making brief trips to India, so they don’t get to see her often. However, he remembered attending her wedding reception in Mumbai.
He expressed that she’s thriving in a blissful state, both personally and professionally, which is truly delightful. As he wrapped up, he sent his warmest good wishes and blessings to her.
