Perhaps it’s because I’m of Irish/Italian descent from New York, or maybe it’s just the way I look that keeps me landing these roles. Regardless, they’re always a blast to portray, so I’m content with taking them on. [Laughs]
Regarding Andy Daly, the active voice actor known for roles in shows like “Big City Greens,” “The Great North,” and “American Dad!”, it’s clear that his character is not a cop on “Night Court.” In fact, he humorously hinted that all he could reveal about an upcoming holiday episode was that it transpires within a court at night. Daly further explained that his character was apprehended because he refused to depart from a party and was actually hired to attend the very same gathering. He went on to detail:
He’s employed to oversee a murder-mystery event, but much like other such events, the crime remained unsolved. My character, being incredibly dedicated to his role, refused to abandon it until the mystery was unraveled. This tenacity led him to be arrested for trespassing at the party since he wouldn’t leave. Eventually, this stubbornness landed him in front of a judge on Night Court, as he continued his role even during the court proceedings, still unwilling to break character and reveal the solution to the unsolved mystery.
