In the film ‘Karate Kid: Legends’, young kung fu virtuoso Li Fong, portrayed by Ben Wang, experiences a heart-wrenching family event and is relocated from Beijing to New York City with his mother. As Li grapples with leaving his past behind while attempting to connect with his new peers, he finds himself entangled in conflict despite preferring peace. When a friend requires aid, Li participates in a karate tournament, but raw talent isn’t sufficient. In order to help, Li’s kung fu mentor, Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), recruits the original Karate Kid, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio). This leads Li to learn an alternative method of combat, blending their two martial arts disciplines into a single formidable style for the climactic showdown.
