As a long-time follower of the streetwear scene, I can confidently say that the upcoming Fear of God x adidas Jabbar High collaboration is shaping up to be a masterpiece. Having witnessed Jerry Lorenzo’s meteoric rise and his impeccable work with Adidas over the years, I’ve come to expect nothing but the best from this dynamic duo.
Jerry Lorenzo and his Fear of God brand have been diligently collaborating with adidas for quite some time now, and it wasn’t until last year that their combined efforts resulted in the official debut of the Fear of God Athletics line. With the II Basketball design recently released, Lorenzo hinted at future releases on Instagram, revealing a sneak peek of the upcoming Fear of God x adidas Jabbar High project for next year.
This season, Adidas resurrected Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s iconic sneaker, and it seems they’ve got even more surprises up their sleeve for this shoe. I’ve had a sneak peek at the upcoming design, and it’s decked out in a clean white, off-white, and green colorway. The quality is top-notch, as evidenced by the Italian craftsmanship, and the tongue interior is a testament to that. On the other side of the tongue, you’ll find an image of Jerry Lorenzo, along with co-branding and “endorsed by” text. The heel tab showcases the classic Trefoil logo as a subtle detail, debossed into the material.
As I type this, neither Fear of God nor Adidas have given any release date hints for their rendition of the Jabbar High sneaker. Keep an eye out for announcements, including a full reveal of the new color scheme, as we anticipate it to hit stores sometime in 2025, available through Adidas and selected retailers.
