A Suits Movie? What The Creator Says After Not Wanting To Keep Going With Season 10

As a dedicated Suits fan who has binge-watched this legal drama multiple times and even named my cat Harvey Specter, I can’t help but be thrilled about the upcoming spinoff, Suits: LA. The prospect of a movie featuring our beloved characters is like a dream come true, albeit a distant one.

Following the impressive comeback of Suits in 2023, thanks to its Netflix audience, the USA Network legal drama has experienced a renaissance. A new spinoff titled Suits: LA is set to debut on NBC’s 2025 TV lineup, introducing fresh characters and storylines within the Suits universe. With Gabriel Macht briefly returning and other cast members expressing potential interest in reprising their roles, there’s a possibility that the original Suits could make a comeback in movie format.

For nine consecutive years, starting from 2011 and ending in 2019, the popular series Suits ran its course. Interestingly, as its recent surge in streaming popularity showed, viewers appear to crave more content. Nonetheless, this demand doesn’t guarantee a return or even the possibility of another full season of episodic episodes. The show’s creator, Aaron Korsh, offered a glimmer of hope regarding the main characters, although he emphasized that discussions are still in their infancy. In his own words:

I thoroughly enjoyed how Suits concluded, and there might be a Suits movie at some point which could be exciting. At the moment, it’s mostly speculation or theoretical discussion, so I can’t provide many details [yet]. However, it’s not entirely unrealistic for us to consider making such a film in the future.

The series Suits concluded as Harvey and Donna tied the knot and opted to relocate to Seattle to collaborate with Mike and Rachel. It’s tough to envision how another season might unfold, its duration, or its location. However, a film could provide an opportunity for viewers to reconnect with their beloved characters for a more restrained timeframe, offering just enough closure to appease fans.

Despite fan’s desire for Season 10 to continue their journey with beloved characters, it seems unlikely. Instead, we have “Suits: LA” on the horizon, as creator Aaron Korsh has opted for a new show rather than another season. The potential for growth within the Suits universe remains vast.

Instead of proceeding with a Season 10 of Suits, I chose to wrap up the primary narrative of the original characters. Despite some fans on social media expressing their desire for more Suits, I am confident that the new characters we’re introducing will captivate viewers. My hope is that by the end of the first episode, audiences will appreciate this as a fresh, standalone story with immense potential and eagerly anticipate the rest of the season.

In the upcoming series “Suits: LA”, the action will unfold in the iconic city of Los Angeles, specifically at a law firm specializing in entertainment. The cast includes Stephen Amell, Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis, and Bryan Greenberg portraying fresh attorney characters. Viewers are eagerly anticipating getting to know these new personalities and developing feelings for them. There’s also excitement about which original show characters might make a comeback.

Given that another season of the original “Suits” appears unlikely, fans can look forward to the new series instead. However, even though a “Suits” movie is still possible, it’s unclear which characters might be involved or what the plot could focus on if it ever comes to fruition in the future.

You can stream all nine seasons of “Suits” on Netflix or with a Peacock subscription, allowing fans to rewatch their favorite episodes whenever they desire. Additionally, the spin-off series “Suits: LA” will premiere on NBC starting February 23, providing an alternative option for viewers.
