Gadar 2 actor Utkarsh Sharma recalls mistakenly hurting Salman Khan on Veer sets, says, ‘Ek baar toh maine clap dete hue unki naak beech mein daal de…’

As an ardent fan of Bollywood, I have always been captivated by the stories of young talents who rise to fame through the silver screen. Utkarsh Sharma, the son of renowned film producer Anil Sharma, is one such name that has recently caught my attention. His journey from being a curious onlooker on his father’s sets to becoming an actor in his own right is nothing short of inspiring.

Utkarsh Sharma, known for his role in Gadar 2, is the offspring of movie producer Anil Sharma. Lately, the performer reminisced about his time working as an assistant on his father’s film, Veer, where he was enchanted by Salman Khan. Moreover, Utkarsh revealed that during this period, he unintentionally injured Salman Khan’s nose while giving claps for scenes, but the actor handled it courteously.

In an interview with The Lallantop, Utkarsh Sharma shared that after finishing his board exams, his father had to go to London to finish work on a film project called Veer. Unfortunately, a bombing incident in England caused the visas for other assistants to be revoked. As a result, he chose to accompany his dad.

He said, “Mujhe kuch nahi pata tha halanki set pe dekha hai par kaam kya hai mujhe nahi aata tha toh uss set pe maine clap dena sikha jo bhi behind the camera cheez hai woh seekhe.” (I didn’t know how things worked on a film set. I mean, I had seen work on a film set, but what I had to do I didn’t know. So, I  learned how to clap and do other off-camera work.)

While gaining experience on movie sets, Sharma found himself observing the main character, Salman Khan, at close range. This turned out to be a valuable learning experience for him. Unfortunately, during one scene where he was supposed to clap nearby the star, Sharma inadvertently caused him harm instead.

In one instance, during an applause, I unintentionally slipped a note between an actor’s lines, yet he handled it with remarkable poise, barely missing a beat.

The experience from the incident provided the young actor with an exclusive insight into Khan’s character, both on and behind the camera. He revealed that the esteemed star, known for numerous box office successes, maintained a tranquil disposition off set. Yet, as soon as the cameras began to roll, he morphed into a captivating performer, and his piercing gaze expressed his emotions vividly.

As a lifestyle expert, let me share my personal admiration for the Tiger 3 actor’s ability to convey deep emotions in romantic scenes. I’ve been captivated by his performances, as it seems he pours his genuine feelings into each role, leaving me utterly spellbound.
