Actors Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett are set to co-star alongside Anne Hathaway in the Amazon MGM film adaption of Colleen Hoover’s popular novel, “Verity.
Michael Showwalter serves as director for the upcoming movie, “The Eyes of Tammy Faye.” The screenplay was penned by Nick Antosca, who followed in the footsteps of earlier writers such as Hillary Seitz, Angela LaManna, and the duo of Will Honley and April Maguire.
The story revolves around struggling writer, Lowen Ashleigh, who is tasked by Jeremy Crawford to finish off a series written by his late wife, Verity Crawford (Hathaway), a renowned author. However, Verity met with a strange accident and now Lowen finds herself stumbling upon a hidden, unfinished manuscript that could potentially unveil secrets about the family’s past.
Johnson will play Ashleigh, the writer, while Hartnett will play Jerery, the husband.
In this production, Nick Antosca and Alex Hedlund are the producers for Eat the Cat, while Showalter and Jordana Mollick serve as producers for Semi-Formal Productions. Additionally, Hathaway, Hoover, and Stacey Sher are also producers from Somewhere Pictures, Heartbones Entertainment, and Shiny Penny respectively.
