As someone who has spent a considerable amount of time immersed in the dynamic world of fashion and lifestyle, I find myself continually intrigued by the exciting developments happening across the globe. The recent openings, collaborations, and expansions showcased in this compilation are a testament to the relentless creativity and entrepreneurial spirit that drives our industry forward.
This week, we saw many exciting updates across the fashion world – from highly anticipated product launches in luxury and casual styles, to store openings, and the unveiling of the upcoming schedule for Paris Men’s Fashion Week.
Fresh offerings emerged from brands such as Gucci, Supreme (twice), and HIDDEN.NY, with the latter being particularly festive in nature. Furthermore, a joint collection by Saint Mxxxxxx and Denim Tears, concluding the series, also made its appearance.
Additionally, some noteworthy stores made their debut globally too: Babylon launched in Harajuku, while Balenciaga unveiled its biggest renovated flagship store yet, inviting visitors inside.
This week’s fashion headlines spotlighted the release of the schedule for the Paris Men’s Fashion Week. Commencing on January 21, this year’s schedule features newcomer Willy Chavarria making his grand debut at PFW, Jacquemus coming back, and the absence of LOEWE.
Supreme Readies For Winter With Spyder Drop – and New Tees
Braving the frosty weather, I’m excited to see what Supreme has in store for us as we head into even colder days! This week, they launched their collaborative collection with Spyder, offering a variety of must-have skiwear pieces. Highlights include a series of technical jackets available in black, white, and neon yellow, all equipped with removable hoods. Other strategic gear includes a GORE-TEX-enhanced knit zip-up collared sweater and the NEW ERA Dog Ear caps.
In a few days, Supreme unveiled their collection of Winter 2024 T-shirts, perfectly timed for the upcoming Holiday season. The new designs feature a Grinch theme, a graphic designed by Will-Sheldon, along with several fresh logo-inspired motifs.
Gucci Pre-Fall 2025 Refined the House’s Retro Essence
In their Pre-Fall 2025 collection, Gucci aimed to regain its signature style by harmoniously blending its vintage charm with a sleek modern minimalism. The brand opted for deep, luxurious colors to enhance the primarily black outfits, and they embraced an extravagant approach with their use of textured fabrics and intricate patterns, reflecting a maximalist trend.
On their Instagram, Gucci announced that Creative Director Sabato De Sarno is delving into the spirit of the ’70s, revitalizing the signature styles of the brand using a vibrant visual vocabulary.
In this game of style, I certainly don’t disappoint in the collection. On one extreme, there’s a dapper double-breasted taupe suit paired with a straightforward green necktie and a lush green leather flight jacket, emblazoned with our emblem and boasting a cozy white sherpa collar on the other end.
Willy Chavarria’s Debut, Jacquemus’s Return and LOEWE’s Absence Revealed in Paris Men’s Fashion Week Calendar
This week, the Paris Men’s Fashion Week Schedule has been the hottest discussion point in the fashion community.
For the first week, 68 brands will display their Fall-Winter 25 menswear collections, followed by haute couture shows starting from January 27, with presentations from 28 different fashion houses. Notable shows include those from Pharrell at Louis Vuitton, Kim Jones at Dior Homme, Junya Watanabe and Comme des Garçons, as well as the Paris debut of Willy Chavarria and Jacquemus’ return to its home city. The men’s fashion schedule will kick off with a presentation from Japanese label Auralee on January 21 at 4:30 pm CEST and conclude on the 26th with Peter Copping’s debut as Lanvin’s director.
Instead of LOEWE being present during that particular week, Jonathan Anderson has chosen to display both the men’s fall collection and the women’s collection together in March 2025 instead.
SAINT Mxxxxxx Dropped Final FW24 Collection With Denim Tears Collaboration
As the Fall/Winter 2024 season comes to a close, ©SAINT Mxxxxxx has unleashed its final drop.
In the heart of the penultimate season’s rollout, I’m teaming up with Denim Tears under our shared label, “SAINT TEARS.” We’re unveiling a fresh collection, featuring a tailored suit, a snazzy necktie, and some overalls that are perfect for the gaming lifestyle.
Additionally in the announcement, the brand showcases further options for distressed hoodies, denim pieces, along with a few sweatpant ensembles and crewneck coordinations elsewhere.
Balenciaga Opened Largest Store Yet
The Beijing flagship store of Balenciaga, situated within the Taikoo Li Sanlitun complex, has been officially reopened in China. This is the brand’s biggest outlet to date, housed in a four-story structure covering an area of 1,204 square meters for its renovation.
The store stands out due to its unique “raw design” theme, featuring concreted structures placed strategically all around. Situated on Sanlitun Road, this newly opened flagship store is expected to offer the latest ready-to-wear clothing items for both men and women, along with handbags, shoes, jewelry, eyewear, and other accessories.
Moreover, the store displays eight historical pieces from the fashion show “The Subtleties of a Dialogue” by the brand, which were originally exhibited at the Kering headquarters. Furthermore, there’s a luxury shopping room located on the upper level.
HIDDEN.NY Revealed Its “Holiday Store” Drops – Featuring Collabs With and wander, ASICS and SUICOKE
HIDDEN.NY unveiled their multi-part “Holiday Store” series, featuring an impressive lineup of collaborators. Besides the regular collection of items, it’s the partnerships with brands such as ASICS and SUICOKE that truly sets this release apart.
SUICOKE shares its preview for the initial release arriving December 20, which is modeled after a collaborative version of the ZAVO-PUFFab sandal. The subsequent drop encompasses a complete lineup, featuring an eclectic mix of items from a chess set to a track jacket.
ASICS joins the project, bringing their unique collaboration to an upcoming sneaker design that hasn’t been unveiled yet. Keep checking back for more information as it becomes available.
Babylon Opened Its Doors in Harajuku, Tokyo – Lee Spielman and Garrett Stevenson Shared More
December 14 marked the grand opening of Babylon’s inaugural retail store in the vibrant district of Harajuku, Tokyo. In an exclusive chat with TopMob, the visionary minds behind the brand – Lee Spielman and Garrett Stevenson – delved deeper into this significant achievement.
This recently opened branch represents the brand’s third physical retail location altogether, yet it’s the first one established outside the United States.
In simpler terms, “Tokyo and Los Angeles have always seemed related to me, especially since I have friends in both places who work in similar creative industries,” Spielman shared with TopMob about the upcoming location. This unique space will host special limited-edition items – beginning with a partnership with VERDY.
Since our initial visit in 2008 for a music performance, we’ve been consistently attracted to this city. The vibe here is unlike anywhere else, and the way people embrace culture is truly noticeable when contrasted with other locations. Tokyo seems to have a profound appreciation for the narratives that underpin brand creation, which resonates strongly with us.
