As a seasoned globe-trotter and a die-hard WWE fan, I couldn’t be more thrilled about Monday Night Raw hitting Netflix! The convenience of being able to watch episodes immediately after they air is like a dream come true for me, especially considering the thirty-day delay on Peacock. And the ability to download episodes for offline viewing? Now that’s a game-changer for those of us who spend more time in the friendly skies than at home.
In just a short while, you’ll be able to stream “Monday Night Raw” on Netflix, and before its debut, Netflix has shared responses to questions wrestling enthusiasts may have about the upcoming premiere. Since these episodes will offer insights into what’s to come in future WWE events slated for 2025, such as WrestleMania 41.
I’ve consistently held that Monday Night Raw will be streamable with a Netflix subscription, an upcoming event I eagerly look forward to in the 2025 TV lineup, and this stance remains unchanged following the acquisition of new information. However, there’s one significant aspect that I find less appealing, which I’ll discuss once I’ve outlined some key features I found exciting.
Plus: Monday Night Raw Episodes Will Be Available To Watch Immediately After Livestream
As soon as the live stream wraps up, you can easily catch up on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw right here on Netflix – perfect if you missed the original airing. If you’ve been relying on Peacock Premium to watch this action-packed show, I must say, the convenience of having it on Netflix is a game-changer! The episodes were previously delayed by a full month, and that’s still the case with their SmackDown deal. It seems there’s a silver lining to the absence of traditional network television, as we no longer have to stress over viewership ratings!
Plus: Past Monday Night Raw Episodes Are Coming
Netflix has verified that they will be offering WWE Raw archival content on their platform, with plans to add more over time. It was something I had anticipated since the content moved from Peacock, but receiving this confirmation is delightful. However, it might take a while for the entire archive to appear on Netflix, so I’m curious about what will be available at the initial launch.
Plus: Monday Night Raw Will Be Available To View Offline
For me, someone who frequently travels, the most thrilling aspect is learning that Netflix allows downloading episodes of Monday Night Raw within 48 hours after they’re live. On days with upcoming flights, I might even purposefully skip watching on Mondays so I can save an episode to pass the time during my journey. This will surely make those long East to West coast trips seem shorter.
Non-Plus: Countries Outside The United States Will Get Way More WWE Content On Netflix Than The United States
If you’re hoping for a future where Netflix carries all WWE live events, sadly, that’s only a dream if you’re residing in the United States. The WWE has signed a five-year contract with USA Network to air SmackDown, and NXT will be on The CW for the same period. By 2025, Premium Live Events will still be available on Peacock. So, it looks like you’ll need more than one streaming service to get the full WWE experience – a situation that I, too, wish wasn’t the case with most streaming content.
On January 6th, the inaugural episode of “Monday Night Raw” on Netflix will be streaming. I have high expectations that this event will be an unforgettable one by the WWE, and I eagerly await the comeback of at least one wrestler during the initial broadcast.
