As a devoted follower of Punjabi music, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the dynamic evolution of this genre over the years. The recent turn of events between some of our beloved artists has left me both intrigued and saddened.
At his Mumbai concert on December 21st, Karan Aujla left fans and Bollywood stars Vicky Kaushal and Parineeti Chopra spellbound. On the second day, he took the stage once more and left everyone amazed. However, the audience was taken by surprise when Punjabi singer AP Dhillon joined Karan during the performance. After their shared act at the event, Karan posted a photo and hinted that they had made the entire gathering “extremely energetic and lively.
On December 22, AP Dhillon and Divine graced Karan Aujla’s concert in Mumbai. Notable attendees included Karan Johar and Neha Dhupia. Recently, Karan Aujla shared a picture with him on Instagram, captioning it “Mahol pura wavy.” In response, Karan wrote, “I didn’t get any sleep.
Take a look:
AP’s post came after he got into a controversy with actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh. It all started when the Amar Singh Chamkila actor gave a shoutout to Karan Aujla and AP Dhillon who kickstarted their musical tour. In the viral clips, Dosanjh can be heard saying, “Mere aur do bhaiyon ne tour shuru kiya hai Karan Aujla aur AP Dhillon ne, unke liye bhi best of luck (Two of my brothers, Karan Aujla and AP Dhillon, have started their tour; best of luck to them, too).”
On December 21st, during his concert in Chandigarh, AP Dhillon took a moment to address Diljit’s statement. The Old Money singer spoke up, saying, “I’ve got a small point to make, my brother. First, please unblock me on Instagram and then let’s chat. I’m not interested in discussing the marketing strategies going on behind the scenes right now, but first, could you please unblock me?
Shortly after the Lover singer received his reply, he posted screenshots from his Instagram account to show that AP had not blocked him. However, AP remained unconvinced and countered with his own screen recordings. This was followed by a post on his Instagram stories which read, “I wasn’t intending to speak up, knowing people will criticize me regardless, but at least we now know what is true and what isn’t.
After observing a heated situation between Diljit and Dhillon, Badshah shared on his social media platform some insights about avoiding similar errors in judgment. Additionally, he encouraged them to join forces if they aspire to achieve greater success in the rap scene.
