A Jail Employee Spoke Out About What Holidays Are Really Like At Diddy’s Prison And What He’ll Get To Eat On Christmas Day ‘Nobody Wants To Be Here’

As a former correctional officer who has spent years navigating the intricate labyrinth of America’s penal system, I can attest that the holidays can be a challenging time for everyone – even for celebrities like Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs.

Since his apprehension on September 17th, renowned rapper and entrepreneur Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs has been refused bail on four separate occasions while he waits for his trial. The most recent denial happened in December of this year, when a judge deemed him untrustworthy, confirming that he would be spending the holiday season incarcerated. As one prison official put it: ‘No one wants to be here.’

So What Are The Holidays Like For Celebrities In Jail?

Regarding conversations about the individual held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC), which happens to be where Diddy is currently residing prior to his trial, it’s been conveyed that he’s managing well. Although no one enjoys their time here, Diddy is reportedly popular among the inmates. Another inmate shared that during holidays, card games and dominoes are commonly played to amuse oneself. Additionally, there’s often a friendly game of basketball happening over Christmas.

He’ll probably play some basketball. He likes it.

Visits from family members take place only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to provide a bit of joy, although it’s been mentioned that Diddy has found it challenging to maintain his positive demeanor. A source speaking to US Weekly revealed that the twins, D’Lila and Jessie (who turned 18 on December 21), celebrated their birthday without their father, leaving the family struggling to cope in his absence. The same source added that both his adult children and younger ones, including Love who is only 2, have found this period difficult.

The holidays will be especially hard for the family without their father.

Combs’ children have stood by him during his arrest and imprisonment, attending court hearings and working together to communicate with the public about the challenges that Diddy is currently encountering.

What Will the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center Inmates Be Eating On Christmas?

Over the years, ex-prisoners have noted turkey and ham as common prison meals during festive seasons. However, in recent times, Cornish hen has emerged as a preferred protein option for prisons around Christmas. Interestingly, even Josh Duggar, the former star of 19 Kids and Counting, currently serving time, was served Cornish hen at dinner last year. At MDC, prisoners are not only given the Cornish hen but also accompanying sides and a follow-up meal of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches later in the day.

  • macaroni and cheese
  • cranberry sauce
  • rolls
  • (Dinner) two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches

He’s not experiencing his first holiday confined within prison walls. Previously, even on Thanksgiving, Diddy found himself in a detention center. For that particular celebration, he had a choice between a traditional turkey roast or tofu. Additionally, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, gravy, rolls, and other side dishes were also provided.

Diddy’s time in prison has been particularly challenging. His legal team has expressed concerns over food quality for him while incarcerated. Furthermore, many have labeled the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC), where he currently resides, as one of the worst federal detention centers in the U.S.
