As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for both fashion and timepieces, this collaboration between SOPHNET. and Luminox has truly piqued my interest. Having grown up playing games like Metal Gear Solid, where durable and functional accessories were essential to survival, the 3001 model’s partnership with the US Navy SEALS resonates deeply with me.
2025 promises a fashionable start for SOPHNET. and Luminox, as they team up once more to redesign Luminox’s 3001 model. This is their second collaboration, following their initial project in March 2022. The new watches in this pair showcase bezels that pay homage to a well-known Rolex model – specifically the GMT-Master.
1994 saw the debut of the 3001 model, which was collaboratively developed with the US Navy SEALs, emphasizing robustness and practicality in its design philosophy. Each style showcases a dual-toned dial, alternating between black and green for one and brown and gold for the other. Branding is subtle, featuring a compact, abbreviated SOPHNET. logo on the face, while white accents stand out prominently against a black backdrop. Crafted from a durable material called Carbonox, the case measures 43mm in size. Both watches come equipped with a resilient black rubber strap. Luminox’s signature light technology guarantees that the lume remains visible for up to 25 years, and both models boast a water resistance rating of up to 200 meters.
