As NBC’s One Chicago Hypes The Long-Awaited Crossover In 2025, Law And Order Fans Want In On The Fun

Fans of Chicago series have eagerly anticipated a joint appearance of their favorite characters from Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med for over five years. Finally, in the 2025 television lineup, these heroes will join forces to confront the aftermath of a city-shaking gas explosion that puts two specific characters at risk. I’m absolutely thrilled about the three-episode event on January 29th, yet I understand why fans from the Law & Order sector of Dick Wolf’s extensive TV empire might yearn for their own crossover experience.

Regardless of whether you have a preferred Chicago show or consider them all equally enjoyable, it’s delightful to observe actors from each series featured. An added bonus is spotting S. Epatha Merkerson in good health (though her appearance may seem mysterious), which is reassuring following the intense cliffhanger of Chicago Med’s bloody finale for Goodwin!

  • pathenaxayasane: “Hope one day you can bring back the Law & Order x One Chicago crossover events”
  • tiffstagram7: “Aaaaaand yet we’ve been waiting over 600 days for Elliot Stabler to be in the same damn room with Olivia Benson…”
  • chriska.marshmelon: “HAHAHAHHAHAHA you messing with the EO fandom trying to really wind us up. Ya’ll need to stop playing. Give us law and order svu and oc crossovers 💀”
  • officiallynicol: “If yall don’t bring back Olivia to see Voight imma be mad. He gets so giddy when she visits. 😂”

The original three “Law & Order” series had just one three-episode arc before “Organized Crime” was transferred from NBC to Peacock for subscribers, and it has been quite some time since Mariska Hargitay (as Olivia Benson) and Christopher Meloni (as Elliot Stabler) shared screen time. Fans who have been eagerly waiting for these characters to reunite again can be trusted with calculating the length of their separation!

Fanatics from platform X (previously recognized as Twitter) didn’t hesitate to chime in with their thoughts about the One Chicago festivities, drawing parallels to the popular TV show “Law & Order.

  • Primetime_TB: “Do a crossover with Chicago PD and Organized Crime! I can’t believe we’ve never had a Hank and Stabler meeting”
  • DitchTheVan: “Man we need a #OneWolf crossover before it’s all said and done. SVUs, FBIs, Chicagos. The entire Wolf galaxy”

It’s quite intriguing to contemplate how Hank Voight and Elliot Stabler might interact, given their respective roles. The idea of a crossover involving all nine shows seems extraordinary, but it’s technically feasible since Chicago P.D.’s Detective Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) has crossed over to CBS shows in early 2020. With recent developments on FBI: Most Wanted hinting at a potential Law & Order continuation, I, as a fan of the Law & Order series, am hoping for some crossover action by 2025.

Looking forward to it, I’m excited to join in the festivities for the upcoming three-episode crossover of One Chicago. The interconnected nature of Fire, P.D., and Med often sees characters visiting each other’s shows, making it easy to imagine a large-scale crisis that necessitates their combined efforts. This special event will shake up NBC’s regular Wednesday night schedule on January 29, with Fire airing at 8 p.m. ET, followed by Med at 9 p.m. ET and P.D. at 10 p.m. ET.

Currently, enthusiasts can eagerly anticipate the winter premieres of the One Chicago shows, which are scheduled for Wednesday, January 8 and will air in their regular time slots. Meanwhile, NBC is set to bring back Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU on Thursday, January 16. The premiere date for Season 5 of Law & Order: Organized Crime on Peacock has not been announced yet. Lastly, the original FBI series, along with FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted, will return to CBS on Monday, January 27.
