‘Yellowjackets’ Season 3
February 14, 2025
A captivating thriller titled “Yellowjackets” chronicles the lives of a group of teenagers who experienced a tragic plane crash in 1996, and their subsequent journeys as adults in the year 2021. Starring renowned actresses such as Juliette Lewis and Christina Ricci, it shares similarities with “Lost,” though its supernatural aspects are less clear-cut. The initial season of “Yellowjackets” debuted on Showtime in 2021 and garnered widespread critical praise. Following this success, the series was renewed for a second season, which premiered in 2023.
Luckily, fans won’t have to wait much longer for the next installment – the third season of the popular series is set to premiere on February 14, 2025, exclusively on Paramount+ with Showtime. It is rumored that this season will be darker than its predecessors, but as of now, it’s unclear if there will be a fourth season as Showtime has not yet renewed “Yellowjackets.” Whether the third season turns out to be the final one remains to be seen when 2025 arrives.

‘Andor’ Season 2
April 22, 2025
Disney has faced a series of disappointments since taking over the Star Wars franchise from its creator George Lucas. Generally speaking, we’ve seen below-par films and canceled TV shows. However, one shining beacon in Disney’s Star Wars era is the Disney+ series, Andor. Initially, many Star Wars enthusiasts raised their eyebrows at the announcement of Andor. After all, it is a prequel to another prequel. However, Andor provides an engaging portrayal of events preceding the 2016 film Rogue One, which itself depicts occurrences prior to the original Star Wars movie, A New Hope.
The general consensus, among both spectators and reviewers, was that Andor surpassed expectations in terms of quality. Praised for its intricate and mature plotline, the first season of Andor garnered critical praise and is considered one of the standout entries in that distant galaxy. After a three-year hiatus, the show’s second and concluding season is set to debut on Disney+ on April 22, 2025. It appears that Disney is investing heavily to ensure its success.

‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ Season 6
TBD
According to the famous novel by Margaret Atwood titled “The Handmaid’s Tale“, we delve into a chilling depiction of a future society where totalitarian rule forces fertile women, referred to as “Handmaids”, into forced child-bearing servitude.
Under the leadership of Elizabeth Moss, the TV series “The Handmaid’s Tale” gained immense popularity when it debuted on Hulu in 2017. It was intense, daring, and stirred up a lot of debate, making it impossible to resist for many viewers. With five seasons already aired, “The Handmaid’s Tale” is one of the longest-running shows on our list. The sixth season, which will be its final, is set to premiere soon.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’
March 4, 2025
This upcoming series is somewhat distinct from other titles on our list. When the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) was initially gaining global popularity, Netflix introduced Daredevil. This gripping series restored justice to this renowned Marvel superhero, whose character was poorly portrayed in the 2003 film adaptation featuring Ben Affleck.
The initial Netflix show possessed a somber and intense tone, sporting an impressive lineup of actors such as Charlie Cox portraying Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio delivering a compassionate performance as Kingpin, and Jon Bernthal bringing the Punisher to life. This show, celebrated for both critical praise and large audiences, was one of Netflix’s most popular series. The final scene in season 3 hinted at the future transformation of Benjamin Poindexter (played by Wilson Bethel) into the villainous Bullseye, a character who met an untimely end in the 2003 movie.
The scenario shifted significantly when Disney regained control over Daredevil. Instead of Netflix shelling out a substantial licensing fee to carry on the show, Disney opted to manage the distribution rights themselves. Consequently, Daredevil departed from Netflix and moved to Disney+, where all three seasons are available for streaming. However, Disney didn’t actively develop the Daredevil series, choosing instead to let it go after a while.
As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the much-anticipated Disney+ reboot, “Daredevil: Born Again,” is set for release on March 4, 2025, and it promises to be an integral part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This exciting revival will see the return of some familiar faces from the original cast, including Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jon Bernthal, and Deborah Ann Woll.
Based on this announcement, we can expect “Daredevil: Born Again” to carry forward some narrative threads from season 2, though it seems reasonable to anticipate a time leap in the storyline as well. Can’t wait to see how it unfolds!

‘Severance’ Season 2
January 17, 2025
Severance might not be as widely recognized as other shows on our list, but it’s certainly one of the most promising returns to screens in 2025. Offered by Apple TV+, which isn’t typically associated with the same level of viewership as Netflix and other streaming giants, Severance stands out for its unique blend of sci-fi elements and psychological suspense. The story revolves around a group of employees who have opted into a “severance” program, where their work and non-work memories are kept distinct – an intriguing concept for striking a balance between work and personal life.
As a dedicated admirer, I can’t help but express my excitement for the return of the phenomenal series “Severance,” which boasts an exceptional ensemble featuring Adam Scott, John Turturro, and Patricia Arquette. The inaugural season, praised by critics and ranked among the top 10 shows of 2022 on numerous lists, will be followed by its much-anticipated second season, airing on Apple TV+ on January 17, 2025. Executive producer Ben Stiller teases that we’ll get answers to some burning questions and even more mind-bending twists in the upcoming episodes!

‘The White Lotus’ Season 3
February 16, 2025
The White Lotus initially debuted as a 6-episode black comedy-drama, but due to its remarkable success, HBO decided to produce a second and third season, transforming it into an anthology series. Each season offers a fresh set of characters and plotlines at a different White Lotus resort in a unique exotic destination, often concluding in chaos or madness.
In the television series “The White Lotus,” well-known actors like Connie Britton, Sydney Sweeney (Season 1), Michael Imperioli, and Aubrey Plaza (Season 2) have graced our screens. Notably, Jennifer Coolidge plays a character who has been part of the series in both seasons thus far. Despite having only two seasons under its belt, “The White Lotus” has earned critical praise, capturing the hearts of viewers and creating quite a buzz on HBO. Anticipation for Season 3, set to premiere on February 16, 2025, is already building up.
In the upcoming third season of “The White Lotus,” our journey takes us to the exotic destination of Thailand. Natasha Rothwell, who portrayed Belinda Lindsey, the spa manager from The White Lotus resort in Maui during the first season, will once more step into her role for this new installment. Much like Jennifer Coolidge, she’s the sole cast member to return from a previous season. We eagerly anticipate the chaos that awaits us in the third season of “The White Lotus,” and we can hardly wait to hear the captivating music of the opening credits once more.

‘Wednesday’ Season 2
July 2025
In a fresh take on the familiar character, Wednesday Addams, who’s well-known as a key figure in the Addams family, is seen here in a new light – she’s grown up now and her stone-faced, dark attired, death-fascinated persona has evolved into teenage years. Actress Jenna Ortega flawlessly portrays this mature Wednesday, who finds herself attending a high school with a supernatural twist and dealing with typical adolescent struggles, all while trying to uncover a murder mystery within the school’s walls. Renowned director Tim Burton, known for his Gothic filmmaking style, is at the helm of bringing this series to life.
On Wednesdays, Netflix saw a massive surge in popularity. Just three weeks after its debut, it ranked as the second most-watched English-language series on Netflix ever. Anticipation is high among fans who can’t wait to find out what mischief Wednesday gets up to in season 2, which is expected to attract millions of viewers when it premieres in 2025.

‘The Last of Us’ Season 2
TBD
Much anticipation built up prior to the debut of “The Last of Us”, a science fiction series adapted from the popular video game with the same title. The story follows Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) as they navigate a post-apocalyptic America devastated by a pandemic, in which a fungal infection has caused humans to become similar to zombies.
The television series “The Last of Us” broke HBO’s records as the most-viewed debut season. It received widespread praise from critics and has been recognized as one of the best video game adaptations ever made. The second season is scheduled to air in 2025, with a specific date yet to be announced, and will consist of seven episodes. Plans for a third season are already underway.

‘Squid Game’ Season 3
TBD
In 2021, the South Korean thriller “Squid Game” swept across the globe upon its debut on Netflix. In this series, individuals find themselves in a lethal competition, where they must battle each other through a sequence of intense and brutal games resembling children’s activities to secure a monetary prize and their liberty. It was captivating, outrageous, and almost impossible to tear yourself away from it. In fact, “Squid Game” quickly became Netflix’s most-watched series with an astounding 1.6 billion hours viewed, a record that it continues to hold today. The show’s remarkable success prompted Netflix to commission two more seasons.
I can’t help but express my excitement over the recent unveiling of Squid Game Season 2! Despite some criticisms surrounding its narrative and competition games, it has undeniably proven to be another triumph. In just three short days since its release, Season 2 managed to notch an astounding 68 million views, breaking Netflix’s previous premiere viewership record held by Wednesday.
What makes this even more intriguing is that the show’s creators filmed Seasons 2 and 3 back-to-back! That means we won’t have to wait too long for the climactic Season 3, scheduled for a 2025 debut. Prepare yourself for an explosive, action-packed conclusion to Squid Game!

‘Stranger Things’ Season 5
TBD
As a dedicated viewer, I can’t help but rave about how “Stranger Things” has become one of Netflix’s most captivating shows. This gripping tale unfolds in the 80s, focusing on the lives of the people residing in the small-town fictitious setting of Hawkins, Indiana. The story primarily revolves around a band of youngsters, now teenagers, spearheaded by a remarkable girl with telekinetic prowess. However, the tranquility of their lives is shattered when the enigmatic Upside Down – an ominous alternate dimension mirroring our own Earth – strikes Hawkins.
The darker, critically-acclaimed fourth season of “Stranger Things” was the most-watched show in 2022, accumulating a staggering 52 billion minutes of viewing time. Over the past two years, fans have been anxiously anticipating the fifth and final season, excitedly counting down to find out how “Stranger Things” concludes its multiple narratives.
2025 marks the anticipated debut of the fifth season of our beloved series, but as of now, a specific release date remains elusive. Besides Linda Hamilton from the Terminator franchise joining the main cast in an unspecified role, details about the storyline remain scant. Will Eleven and her friends face dramatic endings? Are significant deaths on the horizon? And will the long-awaited line “Stranger things have happened” be uttered at last? The suspense is building as we edge closer to unraveling these mysteries.
