Once again, LEGO has outdone itself with an exceptional Harry Potter set, this time featuring The Weasleys’ home, The Burrow – Collectors’ Edition (76437). Suitable for builders aged 18 years and above, this is the third iteration of The Burrow from LEGO, following the retired sets Attack on the Burrow (75980) and Harry Potter: The Burrow (4840). Our newest set contains a whopping 2,405 pieces, stands at 19″ tall, 10″ wide, and 10″ deep, and showcases LEGO’s signature crooked charm. This latest Burrow set is undoubtedly the best rendition of the home we’ve seen from LEGO yet, boasting impressive detail and accuracy. Upon first sight of The Burrow, I was captivated by the architecture hidden beneath the wood paneling, as it mirrors the challenging construction depicted in both the movies and books.
Enthusiasts of Harry Potter will undoubtedly rejoice at the news that Bill and Charlie Weasley, fresh from the series, are now part of the LEGO family, appearing in The Burrow for the first time. They join an impressive lineup of eight other characters from the LEGO set: Harry, Ginny, Ron, Arthur, Molly, Percy, Fred, George, and Errol the owl. The construction of The Burrow will be aided by three instruction manuals, two sheets of stickers, and a touch of enchantment.
LEGO’s newest Burrow is its best
Building The Burrow was an incredibly enjoyable experience for me; I loved it so much that I constructed it not just once, but three times! Unfortunately, my child managed to pick it up and drop it, while a friend accidentally knocked it off the kitchen counter after moving some Christmas presents across it. It’s puzzling why this structure seemed so accessible to children and inexperienced individuals, but I won’t be addressing that question here.
The Burrow has a rather neutral appearance on the outside, but this isn’t due to any fault on LEGO’s part. It primarily features tan wood siding, maroon roofing, and brown balconies. However, the interior more than compensates for its monotonous exterior colors. The kitchen is particularly stunning, boasting a multicolored table and what might just become my favorite LEGO item – strawberries. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated with artwork and quidditch-themed bedspreads.
A good portion of the ground level features an active Floo Network fireplace, where characters can comfortably sit before being transported elsewhere by simply adjusting a nozzle. It’s pure enchantment!
The Burrow’s interior outshines its exterior
Once finished, The Burrow splits open from the middle, offering you two equally detailed halves for bedrooms and living areas. Unlike previous designs, it’s fully enclosed, a unique feature that adds charm. I particularly enjoyed the bathroom, equipped with an adorable toilet paper holder and rubber ducky.
Among all its aspects, what I found most captivating was the unique design of the windows. Much like the Burrow from the movies, these windows don’t align perfectly with the walls. Instead, they protrude slightly and are framed in various colors. Some are horizontal, while others are slanted, adding a touch of charm to the structure. Since the set is intentionally crooked and misaligned, it was built in stages that were stacked on top of each other (which made my reassembling process surprisingly straightforward). The roof tiles are remarkably durable and withstood two unexpected falls from great heights without shattering. If only the actual Burrow in the books and films could match such resilience! Rebuild, I must!
You can grab The Burrow – Collector’s Edition right now on the LEGO site for $269.99. As we speak, it’s earning an impressive 4.8 out of 5 stars on their platform based on more than 100 customer reviews.
