‘SNL’ and Saks Fifth Avenue Celebrate Show’s 50th Anniversary with Special Merchandise (Exclusive)

Straight from the halls of Saks Fifth Avenue, we bring you the latest collection for Saturday Night Live! This long-standing NBC show, a mainstay on Saturday nights, is collaborating with Saks Fifth Avenue in honor of its 50th anniversary, as The Hollywood Reporter has revealed exclusively.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the popular TV show, an upscale store has introduced exclusive SNL-themed merchandise from Erin and Sara Foster’s Favorite Daughter brand and Le Labo Fragrances. This special collection was announced on Tuesday. Enthusiasts of the program can explore a designated webpage on Saks’ site, where they can browse and purchase these unique items. The Favorite Daughter line offers sweatshirts, t-shirts, tote bags, hats, jeans, and a jean jacket. Le Labo has also introduced a fresh interpretation of their iconic candle, titled “Live from New York, it’s SANTAL 26!

On the special SNL webpage, you’ll find a nostalgic revisit of iconic sketches – a grand total of 10, split evenly across decades. The summary of these scenes will be provided along with embedded video clips, as indicated in a statement from Saks. Intriguingly, the high-end retailer hinted at featuring popular segments like “Spartan Cheerleaders,” “Debbie Downer,” and “What Up With That.

At the same time, we will highlight Saks Fifth Avenue’s unmatched luxury and fashion sense, while showcasing SNL’s groundbreaking humor and cultural insights. Merchandise inspired by Saturday Night Live is planned to make its debut at temporary stores inside Saks outlets in Beverly Hills and New York, starting from early January until the end of February. Specifically, the main Saks Fifth Avenue store in New York City will host a pop-up shop from January 10th to February 10th, while the women’s store on Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills will feature the pop-up from January 23rd until February 24th.

For the 50th anniversary, the comedy sketch series has prepared numerous events, such as the four-part documentary series on Peacock titled SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night and the music performance documentary series on NBC called Ladies & Gentlemen … 50 Years of SNL Music. The celebrations will reach their climax with a live primetime special on February 16, which will air simultaneously on NBC and Peacock.
