Scarlett Johansson to Co-Host NBC’s ‘Today With Jenna & Friends’ in January

Scarlett Johansson, who has dominated the superhero genre, received numerous top-tier award nominations, and previously joined the elite Five-Timers Club on Saturday Night Live, is now stepping into the battle for morning shows by taking on a role as guest co-host alongside Jenna on NBC’s Today with Friends.

On Tuesday, Jan. 21, Johansson will be appearing as a guest co-host on the morning show alongside Jenna Bush Hager for a full week. Hager revealed this exciting news to People magazine, expressing her enthusiasm about having Johansson join the team. Johansson is among several popular celebrities who will rotate as guest co-hosts to fill the position previously held by Hoda Kotb. In addition to Johansson, stars such as Taraji P. Henson, Eva Longoria, and Keke Palmer have already been scheduled for guest co-hosting roles.

Bush Hager expressed his excitement by saying that although it seems unbelievable, the fact that Scarlett Johansson is taking time out of her schedule to appear on our program shows how remarkable our production has become. He can hardly contain his anticipation, as this will be the first time she hosts a daytime show.

On Tuesday’s broadcast, Bush Hager shared that she has a lot of exciting activities lined up with the Avengers actor, to which Kotb concurred, reminiscing about Hager’s enthusiasm when proposing the job to Johansson.

Initially, they had quite an impressive connection with her. To put it simply, she’s an exceptional individual,” Kotb stated. “In fact, as soon as she was present, there was a sense of doubt from some – that familiar feeling when you sense someone will excel at a task.

Bush Hager responded, “I believe we’re going to have a fantastic time.” Notably, they share a significant bond as both the show host and the celebrity from Hollywood have twins. Moreover, their eldest daughters are approximately the same age, being around 11 and 10 years old.

On January 13th, “Today with Jenna & Friends” is set to debut as the revamped fourth hour of NBC’s “Today.” This new program has been leading the morning television scene during the third quarter of 2024, surpassing ABC’s “Good Morning America” in terms of total viewers and in the crucial demographic.
