Stephen “tWitch” Boss has been gone for over two years now, and his memory continues to touch those who knew him deeply. Among those still grappling with his loss is his wife Allison Holker, who he was married to for nine years. In a recent memoir, Holker has shared her thoughts on her husband’s suicide, which has sparked debate as she does so. Now, it appears that some of Boss’s relatives, including a cousin, are speaking out against Holker’s decision to disclose these personal details.
36-year-old mother of three, Allison Holker, is publishing her book titled “This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light“, due for release on February 4. The book delves into various aspects of Holker’s life, featuring her relationship with tWitch. A portion from the book was recently revealed, recounting the heartbreaking moment when she discovered her husband’s demise. Last week, a cousin of the late DJ veteran, named Darielle, posted a reaction on platform X regarding this revelation.
I’m so tired of keeping my fucking mouth shut bro. You did our family so mf dirty.
Darielle posted additional updates about X, making several accusations against her cousin’s spouse. In her statements, Darielle implicated the former “So You Think You Can Dance” contestant for cutting off contact between her children and their extended family. Moreover, she brought up an allegation concerning Stephen Boss’ funeral.
I couldn’t care less about a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). This woman has made it necessary for me, as well as his actual family members, to sign an NDA just to attend the funeral. She is trying to sully his legacy and won’t let the Boss family see the children. All she intends to do is exploit and falsely accuse my cousin. Absolutely not.
Also voicing disapproval of Allison Holker’s recent book was family friend Courtney Ann Platt. She took to Instagram to address Holker’s comments and didn’t mince words, calling her method of opening up the “most tacky, classless, opportunistic act I have ever seen in my entire life.” Platt’s post was also shared by tWitch’s brother, Dré Rose, who (via EW) posted them to his IG story and captioned the screenshot “No lies told…” Darielle also added the following sentiments in an X thread among other thoughts:
To set the record straight: This isn’t motivated by financial gain. Money was never a factor in this situation. My family has been self-made long before Stephen achieved success in the dance world. My uncle, who was like a father to him, worked tirelessly to ensure they lived comfortably. The notion that we’re doing this for attention or inheritance is baseless, as no one has ever asked about the money. We were all equally shocked by recent events, just like Stephen’s mother, grandparents, and brothers who have always been hardworking individuals.
More on Allison Holker
As I embark on this new journey a year after losing my beloved husband Twitch, I reflect on ‘A Fresh Beginning.’ This is how Allison Holker shares her thoughts about moving on.
40-year-old Stephen Boss tragically passed away in Encino, California in December 2022, with his death eventually being determined as a suicide. Following this, numerous tributes and remembrances were posted by stars such as Ellen DeGeneres, QuestLove, and others, along with former contestants from Dancing with the Stars. Members of Boss’ family also honored him in various ways, and Allison Holker shared an emotional message in memory of her late partner around that time.
At present, Twitch’s wife hasn’t responded to the allegations made by Darielle or the comments of others. It’s uncertain if she will respond, as well as whether any other family members will decide to share their thoughts on the matter.
